Mahomes doesn't play defense, but he clearly has an impact on the other team's offensive approach. Look at how scared Bill O'brian was even up 21-0. Tennessee abandoned their run game down only 4 because they feared Mahomes and KCs D was showing some backbone. I am of the opinion that neither of those thing happens without Mahomes on the other sideline making people nervous.

Exactly, Chiefs offense is so scary, you can't keep them below 30 if Pat's healthy. The best defense can keep them in the 30s. Against adversity and pressure, Pat can light you up with 50 points in a playoff game.
Interesting that people are so willing to give Mahomes the credit he deserves for his impact on his defense, but never gave Wilson the credit he deserved for his impact on the LoB and his current defense.

The thing is I think Luka’s game can be elite for a long long career but Zion relies much more on physicality and his athleticism. Unless he can become a great shooter / post up guy he may struggle if he has injuries. Obviously saying this in regards to being the “top athlete” for the next ten years. Both will be fantastic
