Used to work as a janitor in many of the houses you walked past in the start and after you went into the Domkyrka. Very fun to see the place still standing!

Jag växte upp i Linkan. 90 talet var så jävla bra där. Hela Swe var grym på 90 talet men Linköping var riktig bra stad att växa upp i då.

Vilken skillnad på ljudnivå det är mellan gågatorna och bilvägarna asså, jag bor i Motala och kan ta tåget in till Linköping på 40 minuter ungefär och jag älskar att bara gå runt där i centrum. Mycket trevlig stad, hoppas att jag kommer kunna bo där i framtiden

An old city half destroyed in the 60:s and 70:s.Some old buildings left though,
I was gonna say the same thing. And the demolition hysteria goes on in many parts of Sweden sadly. They are tearing down a beautiful, historical and priceless part of Sundsvall now called Petersvik. Very sad. And here in Stockholm, public enemy no 1, the horrible master of ugliness Gert Svingårdh has destroyed Liljevachs Konsthall with a hideous concrete addition to an old building.
He is working non stop trying to wreck our cultural and historical heritage.
Is this close to Travad and Skara! I think it's only 30 minutes drive..
no skara is more like 2 hours and 30 min away

I have always been interested in Sweden for a long time. I often wonder what the Swedes are like as people. Are they polite or ignorant?
There's 10 million ish people in Sweden. Some will be polite, some not so much. Like any other country.

You cannot have all the people with the same attributes, not even anywhere in the world. All you need is an open mind towards the people, their culture, and the environment.
Many houses in old part of the city was built not far from now, probably after the II World War. Why is that? Was any battle or bombing destroying the old buildings?
Modernisation and sometimes fires as we used to have towns with mostly wooden houses.
There was a drive in the 50s and 60s to modernise and many towns were demolished and new buildings built.

It´s number eight as a "city", number five as a "kommun".
