Browns fan here, people say the Bills window is closing fast, I say as long as the Bills have Josh Allen and keep up with their defense they have nothing to worry about! Josh Allen is a top 3 QB
I am a Bills fan and I would honestly say that the window never truly opened. This team could win a SB, I just fear it is so slime of a margin. You can say they have gotten hit with the injury bug at the worst time. That would just be an excuse though. I think coaching and leadership in the Org is the true problem.
I'm with you, as long as Allen is healthy, and the Defense remains a focus, they will be nearly automatic playoff locks, and potential contenders. And I say this after Diggs left to the Texans. Allen is definitely the type of QB who elevates the performance of those around him. That said, Curtis Samuel could have a career year this season, incredible signing!
Honestly with Josh at the helm, I could see Samuel hit 1000 yds and 10 TD's easy. All depends on how Joe Brady decides to use him, but ...he certainly has the explosive playmaking ability to pull those numbers off. Not to mention he's one of the most QB-friendly receivers in the league. Great signing, from this guy's perspective
@@juststop022no he won't at all. He is what he is. If they used him correctly, then he should be a big slot WR and not an X. He'll get more production by getting more targets, but it'll just be because of attrition and not because he's somehow utilized better. Don’t forget about Justin Shorter. I think people are sleeping on him. For good reason. He missed the entire season with a hamstring. Generally, players won’t miss an entire season with a hamstring injury. I think they protected him with the IR tag. He was the best WR in the country coming out of high school. Went to PSU with no QB, and a run heavy offense. Transfers to UF, Mullen gets fired, and he’s back in a run heavy system with Napier. I think the Bills used the year to improve his overall game, and he could be somewhat of a surprise. He could also get cut 😂
Great take! I like their versatility with Shakir, Kincaid and now Curtis to play Slot, TE/Slot, WR/Slot/RB... just ridiculous their scheme options... and with a tall Shorter for go routes.
Why are we acting lije Diggs was a 1st round pick? He was a 5th round pick that became really good and got really great when he got with Allen. He didnt sniff a probowl till he came to the Bills. We have now 2 former 2nd round picks, and 3rd or 4th round wideout, and a rookie 2nd round pick that can get better with Josh.
I think there is no choice but to draft a WR in the 1st round. Unless you can guarantee that Polk, Legette or maybe even Baker will be there at 60 and that doesn't seem likely. The only options the Bills have are to move up and take a WR, sit on their hands and see whos there at WR or move back a couple spots and take a WR. There is no other choice. The level of talent that is there between WR 1-6 is not the same as 7-10. There is a significant drop off once you get outside of the top guys and the level doesnt pick back up until like late round 2 - 3 graded guys.
Gabe Davis was a HUGE disappointment in Buffalo. This is 💯 an upgrade to the Bills offense. They will make additional moves in the draft for that true #2 WR.
Curtis Samuel and Gabe Davis both signed 3 year contracts but Samuel’s deal was $15 million cheaper. As a Bills fan I think Samuel is a better overall player who was devalued by poor QB play.
Shakir is an outside receiver he is size and speed wise the same as diggs. Was more productive than Diggs as of late. Way better hands, way better yac. He's the #1 , Coleman #2 Samuel slot but they can all change and go both
I think Mike Williams is the exact type of WR that we don't need. We already have that guy. His name is Dalton Kincaid. Only Kincaid is better because he's not all banged up. Get me a tall speedy guy that can get separation on the outside. Someone to catch those 50 air yard bombs that Allen loves to throw.

I love Gabe as a person and liked him as a player, but he's not nearly as good as Samuel and they have completely different skill sets. He's 27 and still well within his prime. How does it make no sense? They signed an objectively better WR than Gabe for like 60% of the cost. Gabe was miscast as a boundary WR and is an incredibly inefficient and limited football player. Jags just overpaid him like they have all their mid WR corps. They're the ones that paid Zay Jones 11+ million and Christian Kirk well over 20 million.
Samuel is a big step up from Gabe Davis and we're gonna see him break out. We're still not sure what happened last season but Davis ran the wrong route several times and the majority of Allen's picks were throwing to Davis. Translation, Davis can't win contested balls and he doesn't go get it. I've seen Davis' route running in person and they are poor. He telegraphs and rounds off his cuts. He's not fast, has a very limited route tree and won't beat any corner. Davis takes forever to get up to speed and when he did get open, it was late in his routes so often too late. All for Davis' success were because Josh is a God and put the ball on his numbers in impossible situations. Buffalo needs speed and Davis wasn't it. Jax overpaid bigtime for him and Bills Mafia are over the moon with Samuel. We are targeting Bryan Thomas Jr or Adonai Mitchell in rd 1. If they're gone, we will go for a stud DI. Look for Buffalo to possibly move up because we have 11 picks. If all the top WRs are gone at 28, 23 might even move back.
