+ctg1996_osu ripple uses the same pp system, its just that the mapset is ranked, if this was ranked on ppy's official server it'd be worth the same ammount, even if it wasnt ranked the play would be "worth" the same ammount of pp.
skin is all preference sure, ok, i prefer 2008 skins. they're just as easy to play as other, more modern skins , it's just preference, no extra reading skill
Riviclia (rank 1072) uses the default skin Mara (rank 6589) can read the 2007 skin very well Hell, WubWoofWolf (rank 41) can even read Konata Rave Party Players that use skins that you find hard to read can be just as good as anyone else.

My brother actually finds simple 2-1digit multiplication to be harder than Algebra. Does that mean Algebra is no harder than simple multiplication and that everything is preferrence? Not at all. It's generally agreed on that multiplcation is significantly easier than Algebra. Also, this skin was chosen for the average player to watch. Sure, some mania players may prefer to use this skin, but to the average osu player that watches this video, this skin is not appealing at all. Besides, jhlee doesn't even use this skin. It's like using 2007 skin to upload Mafham Oddloop EZDT. Sure, a few people prefer that skin, but that doesn't mean that people can't complain about choosing a skin where the majority of the community agrees that the skin is cancerous to read, especially on a play where that skin wasn't even used. Besides, it's not just me that finds it hard. Ask the average player if playing on a skin where the 300 is bigger than a CS4 hitcircle is usable or preferrable.

this is not on the official osu server though...this is ripple server, and on the ripple server you can get insanely high pp scores.
