The inner city of Tunis has so much touristic potential, if the following changes would be made: 1. Banning the cars from the city center 2. turning the narrow streets into pedestrian areas 3. doing up the old colonial era buildings 4. planting more greenery 5. Building multi storey parking lots And in no time, new businesses (city hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops etc.) will set up and the city would become soon the new main tourist hot spot in North Africa!

paradoxically.. the fact that Tunis has not been renovated for a long time and there has been no construction of large buildings..this makes it maintains a rather atypical city.. it may be a chance for this city to have its own charm and to exploit this in tourism..but this is difficult to predict in the future.. the Tunisian power is generally not listening to ideas.. but more focused rather on very basic issues like safety and cleanliness.. these authorities are far from being able to be creative.
