It's good to see some youngsters having an interest in the railways. Railways / trains were always the main event when I was growing up around Edge Hill...A seed sown which has lasted me a life time. Thanks for taking the time to produce and post this video.
These class 50’s are proper trains although built up north we had to go south to view them when we were young as they were running from Paddington to the Southwest on the English Riviera route amongst other routes in the South seems like only yesterday thanks so much for sharing nice to see some are still running and just goes to show with the quality of engineering we had back then they just keep going 👍
Another lovely video well done great camera work as usual I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on TH-cam bye for now Philip
Interesting to see double headed class 50's. In the late 1960's when the west coast expresses were accelerated all the expresses were double headed by those locos. This was before the west coast was electrified.
Nothing improves the appearance of a loco more than a fresh coat of paint. Even a pair a class 50's make a welcome change from the spam can ! Please bring back the Black 5.
@@Barbarapape I agree they look spectacular in their new livery, there should be a better variety of steam next week with Sir Nigel Gresley due on Wednesday and Braunton (and of course Tangmere aswell) due on Saturday!
Until a few weeks ago they wore the GBRF orange and blue - they looked great in that colour scheme and Class 50 Alliance look after them so well, but i will admit its great seeing them back in the BR large logo livery.

The class 50's leaving Carlisle look much more purposeful than the anonymous Pendolino on the next platform!
256 liter quad turbo v16 engines hell of a machine
they both look nice and fresh in there new big BR 1980s livery as hoovers don't look the same if they're not in blue!

A Bullied Pacific without wheel slip is like tea without hot water.
❤love. Em all😊
Didn't tangmere throw one of her connecting rods the other year?
It used to say on hire to BR on the side of these locos in the early days.

@@TRAlNVlDEOS That is great news, Tangmere will need a new boiler by the time this season has ended.!
I mean, how big a logo do you need on the side of your locomotive? !
Where were the 50s going? It is quite appalling the state of the railway now, looking like an overgrown garden.
@@EM-yk1dw hi, the class 50s we’re heading for Aberdeen! 👍
After 'their' 40 minute stop 😅
Nice to see these "old" diesels getting a touch of TLC 😊 They probably look smarter than they did when they were in service?
