can you confirm that in your comparison between your different armadas that they were worth the same rewards. all 46's are worth varying amounts. i always scan every one i look at in a system to find the most valuable payout
Edicts don't vary so much. If you're hitting 40 uncommons they will all have 10 edicts as base loot, it's just the credits that will vary. So as long as you're comparing edicts across the same level then the comparison is fine, and more edicts means more bonuses.
I believe loot officers only boost the loot earned by the ship they're on. So to be clear, Jaylah only boosts the loot the FranklinA earns based on the % power it is of the whole solo armada. So the larger your other ships are compared to your FranklinA, the less impact Jaylah's loot bonus becomes. Just something to consider.
@@RevDeuce Doesn't look to be any different to me. Doing a quick test on a little 40 I get 315K credits and18 edicts with 1 ship, as expected with 168% and 88% loot bonuses. Adding Jaylah and a Franklin-A I get 301K and 18 edicts. If Jaylah increased total edicts then I should be seeing more like 26, 18 however is the expected result based on only boosting her share of the edicts. It may be a different matter for the Defiant though, I don't have that ship to say.

Hey Rev, I actually tried this last week and had great success on lvl40 UC solo armadas. In 3 armadas, I almost got 1million loot, not sure how many edicts. Of course my Franklin-A died each time, because it's only a t4 ship at the moment. Thanks for posting a video and digging more into this awesome discovery.
I don't have a defiant, so used my 2 strongest ships and frank A. Tried the crews as suggested, but I saw very little improvement in loot. This is probably due to the level of my officers and ships, so I'll try again after some upgrades or when I get a defiant.
I'm an Ops 46 player, I go after 48s with ease. When I do the 50 UCs I need a bit more hot sauce from a cerritos to get through and end up with a dead ship or 2. That said, I am able to bang out more and do it cheaper by focusing on the 48 UCs and up. The extra loot is nice and if people have the buff juice to sustain, by all means go for it. But for efficiency finding that goldilocks zone is tough. Best defiant crew I been using isn't loot though, I use Picard, Bev, and Euradyce. My T4 Defiant survives often these days on the 50s, but i need new hull. I do a 48, I can squeeze another target or 2 in without having to rebuff ships.
You can also use ng crusher and cadet mcoy next to jaylah to boost loot even more. Great if you're stuck doing 35s when the 40s are too much for you. For me I get almost twice the loot from a 40 with "correct" crewing than a 35 with max loot crews, but that mostly because the step from 35s to 40s solomadas is way too big
Looking at just some generic hostile loot, it does not look like Jaylah is actually boosted by those officers (which is expected for the kind of maneuver it is).
Proving there are no original ideas an Alliance mate pointed me to this video after spending the last week and a half playing with combos for max solo armada loot. Still a small fry (OP’s 35) but I’m seeing slightly more then a 100% increase in loot on the lvl 35 armada targets. Geordi with 75% bonus (not full synergy) on one ship, 5/11 as a sidecar to Riker on the second ship and Jay as a captain of the Franklin, and it doesn’t seem to matter how long the Franklin lives, just that the each ship has a loot bonus present at the start.
Interested to try some of the crew shown in your video to see if I can get more ships to survive, lol
I was doing 2 ships when I was on the 35s, one with 5/11 at 40% bonus and one with geordi at 80%, ships were even power and I got a 60% bonus :) Moved up to 40s as a 41 and can't do that yet
I am ops 39 with only tier 6 auger and tier 4 enterprise and tier 3 frankie A .. get 6 edicts and 90 to 100k loot using those crew against lv 35 ..plus drop chest so get 3/4 enough to refine uncommmon loot so 1.5 armada enough for 1 chest refine ..i have profits reward favor at level 1 that helps as well to boost armada loot ..started experimenting with jayla soon as I got her unlock with the anniversary event not sure if was first to try jayla on solo but did 6 in row to get 7 chest refine had to repair frankie everytime and enterprise every second or third try .. augur with kevlin kirk spock tier 3 Georgiou with rutherford and tendi below deck and high defense stats held up to end of run .( no exocomp or Cerritos boosts )also found jayla with five 11 double dip boost on farming hostiles get almost 500k mycelium loot against lv 31 'alt universe invaders' klingon or more loot from lv 20s unknown aliens and get more loot from dominion hostles as well need snw la'an below deck to get more cargo space.. will have to try Sisko O'Brien jayla on swarm armada when get a chance..says icmonkeybizness 😆💥
I've been running Jaylah on the Frank with 5 and 6 on the sides, 2nd ship has the Laforge crew, and my 3rd ship runs the Sisko crew. Allows me to keep at least 1 ship throwing out major damage.

Lemme guess: you're going to use Frank-A with Jaylah, another ship with Khan/Borg Jaylah/Borg Kras, and a third one with TNG Beverly/La Forge/Picard||Data. And now, to hit [play] and see if I was correct.
Yup. Was right. Here's a pro-tip: Put Kirk and Zhou on Frank-A and pump its below deck with defence. Then stick buffs on it from Cerritors and Defiant. Maybe it'll last a little longer so it soaks some more of the damage that goes out to your bigger ships.
Hey Rev, I think you have chosen bad crew comparisions to prove the worth of the franklinA + Jaylah. If you just used your valdore + defiant without the Ktinga, you would already get more loot since 5/11s loot bonus is applied to more damage coming from the valdore. That's why I am currently running lvl 35 solo armadas with 2 ships only (D4 with 5/11 and deviant with goerdi). Anyways, thanks for the tipp. Definitely going to try that out to see how much of a difference that really is for me.
As soon as a player is able to use OPS46 Ships this all becomes really just a little math stuff. You may also "try" to just go with two ships, as this increases the overall share a defiant with the best lootbonus gets from the summed up power, I really missed that idea in the video a little bit. Doing quite a loot of excel calculations I still always come up with the fact, that hitting as high as possible results in the best loot, all other neat trick options may yield in less ressources spent, I grant that, but I never got more loot, if I spread the loot shared by power and ships' respective lootbonus (crew & possible ship ability). This goes for a LVL20 Defiant, having 402% edict reward bonus.
I used that setup and did a few tests. With the loot crew against a 45uc I got about 500k average loot. A 48uc with strongest crews I got 600k average loot.

I noticed that you didn't mention those ships that give extra loot from hostiles, (Newton, Korinar , Pilum). On my Korinar with geordi capt Beverly and 5of11 I have 188% loot gained (65% geordi with half synergy 80% from 5of11 and my korinar is 43%). But I also take my Newton in for its loot ability also along with my defiant which is T2.
Tried it and saw increase on Frankie A used Jaylah with Lorca and Eurydice. She needs to be a high level in order to proc enuf to keep shields regenerating. Frankie A last 8 of 13 rounds with her only procing twice
I just tried this on the 40s I usually can beat and lost horribly, I tried 3 times first time no exocomp bonus second time with an armada exocomp bonus, 3rd time I tried changing out Lorca to miles on the franklin. All 3 times it kicked my ass. I was using my T7 jelly my T6 Franklin and I have my defiant at T2. Guess I need to stick with what I Ws running before.
@@RevDeuce I can hit the 40s using my maxed ent t7 jelly and my defiant but I guess my jelly just doesn’t have enough to pull me through to finish the armada. Hopefully I will have the kelvin soon and can start leveling that up
Geordi gives bonus loot based on how much your ship takes in regular armadas. Does he operate the same on solo armadas making it advantageous to put him on your largest ship?
I know this is an older video but trying out this method, granted I'm only hitting 35s I'm getting 1 less edict using the crews compared to if I use 5 and Geordi.
i can do lv35 uncommon dominions but i cant do the lv40 ones its to hard may need work on my enti a bit more and my voyager so since i can cream the lv35 i went with full loot crew tolra as cap and toli and 5 of 11 on the sides and base 4 edicts and i get 9 edicts from one armada my other crew has kirk kahn and 6 of 11 i can only make two armada crews so i can get 63 edicts a week and 252 edicts a month
I still have a hard time figuring out when to punch up. I level to 38 recently and can handily do the 35, hell I can do 3 in a row without repairing with Ente, Sala and Intrepid but I can't dent the ones in Level 40 even with proper crews (aka no loot crews). Like this it takes a long ass time to get the defiant...
Okay, I have run your loot crew, but I have had less than desirable payouts , took on a 35 Jem'Hadar armada, and while the credits were good, I got less than what the minimum loot for edicts, where it says 4 is available, I only got 3. I can't post the screenshots. Maybe you can help me under why
Though your intention for this video was maximize loot for solo armadas could this same concept not be used by alliances to boost collected loot from exchange and cardassian armadas with the smaller weaker players running loot crew while the bigs do the damage. Everyone benefits from it.
Does this work still or has it been corrected? Judging wether people should pick up Jaylah from the anniversary store to make this work or have things changed?
Just tested this on a 35. It actually took an Edict away from me rather than doubling it. But doubled the credits at least. Though it doesn't seem like 5, Geordi, and Jaylah stacked together. So maybe just doesn't work on 35s? Something wrong with 35s maybe?
Well they don't stack unless they're on the same ship. Instead each ship gets its own base loot, and then the bonuses specific to that ship are applied to their own base loot share. This is also why you can lose edicts, as loot truncates per ship instead of rounding.
Well, didn't lose the Edict until I put the Franklin A in the fight. And as I'm only 35, fighting 35s. My Franklin A is relatively close to power of my 2 other ships. Considering how easily I'm winning I could try using smaller ships, but not sure why an edict is falling off if its supposed to double it. Worst case scenario, shouldn't I still be getting 4 at least. Never had an issue when not using the loot officers, so don't see why using them would suddenly take away from my edicts.
@@slipstream8299 Worst case scenario is you get 3, because it truncates. So if for example your main ship gets 3.6 edicts and your Franklin-A gets 0.8 (doubled from 0.4), you end up with 3 and 0. This is a potential problem any time that you use multiple ships. Now if they're similar power you wouldn't expect 3 though, so might be worth checking that you've got Jaylah as captain and not on the side.
The loot showing in the battlelog isn't right anyway.... to know the right loot you received you need to check what you have before in your inventory and what you have after the armada. In the battlelog it only shows 1 ship loot like it would in any other armadas. So the reason Rev has more loot in his battlelog is because he's using 2 weaker ships with his Valdore making the Valdore getting a bigger % of the loot from the armada
hey Rev. Your basing your whole video on the premise that everyone has the defiant and all those officers you are using for your solo armadas. So your video does nothing for everyone who doesn't have those officers. You are doing a service for all of us. And we are thankful. Until everyone can get those officers. They don or won't get the same results your getting. I have watched as many as your videos I could find. Some were helpful. Others not so. It does work, so might be an issue with your setup. You have her as captain on the Franklin or Franklin-A? And your other ships aren't already running 100% bonus (e.g. max rank 5of11)? Or is the ship only a fraction of the total fleet power and so double would be less than 1 edict still?
Possible, depends on your ships, crews and bonuses. The base loot is shared between each of the three ships, and then each of them apply their loot bonuses.
I just tried this on a 40. I got 12 edicts instead of the 10 it showed in space. But that's nowhere near the increase that is shown in the video (about 10x). Any ideas what this could be?

@@RevDeuce Did Scopely nerf this? I just ran Geordi and 5/11 on a 35, but only got 4 Edicts. 5/11 used to work for me when Dominion space was first added, now nothing.

Recently, however, I have only been getting 5 using the same crews. So I went from getting 3 extra to just 1 extra per armada. Still nice to get 1 extra, but it does seem like they might have nerfed it
I'm unsure on the exact interaction with the Defiant, but ignoring that you basically want the highest average loot bonus across all ships. So if you have 1 ship with 60% bonus, then you'll get 160% loot. If you instead have ships with 60%/80%/100% and each gets say 60%/25%/15% of the base loot then you'll instead get 171% loot.
@@johnd5952 If you can win with one ship and run geordi bev 5 and win then you will get a higher loot bonus I imagine than running 2 ships with lesser bonus loot crews.. I am not factoring the defiant in here.. Now of course jaylah is 100% so pitching in your franky A would give you a smaller amount of loot bonus if you can not run the 1 ship armada loot crew mentioned above but because its power is relatively low seems a little wasteful
@@mattwhitely1067 Yes, in the example where you can do it with only 1 ship and full loot crews then this would generally be better. You could even make that 1 ship your Franklin-A and add Jaylah's bonus. What you're looking for is simply the highest average bonus weighted by power ratios. However.. this would mean that you're doing a pretty easy solo armada and if you hit up a level or 2 then running multiple ships with a lower average weighted bonus can still end up giving more overall loot (depending what you can get away with on each level of armada).
Anyone test this and not seeing good results? I dunno if Scopely have changed it but I just ran a test and got nothing like the loot I expected. With Geordie 5 and Jaylah I was boosting loot by 220% - howevr on 35 unc 48.5k creds - went to 85k creds and 4 edicts went up to 5 - I was expecting to get more loot than I do from a 40 unc with only 5 as a loot officer but it was nowhere close to that.
Only one ship with all three officers, or three ships with one on each? The bonuses don't stack if they're not on the same ship, so if they're on multiple ships you're really getting the average of each weighted by the power ratio for that ship.
@@johnd5952 That doesn't sound right.. 6:16 you can see rev has Geordie on 1 ship 5 on another and the Franklin with Jaylah (which is what I did) also as Jaylah and Geordie are captain abilities if what you said is right they couldn't be used together. The 1.3m Franklin has Jaylah, the 5.2m Augur had 5 and the 3.6m Enterprise has Geordie. I was kinda assuming that power difference doesn't affect the loot like in normal armadas, but maybe it does affect it for the loot bonus. 10.2m power Augur 5.3m = 51.9% of power with 40% loot bonus Ent 3.6m = 35.3% of power with 80% loot bonus Franklin 1.3m = 12.7% of power with 100% loot bonus If you look it like this then it makes more sense if the Franklin only got 12% of the loot and then had a 100% increase the numbers make more sense. Regardless I'm sticking to punching up to 40s as I get much more loot.
@@markoconnor7163 Yeah, Rev has them split out over 3 ships, which is basically finding the right mix of being able to kill high enough levels for the higher base loot and maximising loot bonuses (and that it's weighted average is why the difference between his loot crew and non-loot crew isn't huge). If you can hit higher though that's generally better, but as you get more powerful it opens up options (like maybe you'll be able to kill the 40's with only 2 ships, and then you could add in the Franklin-A with Jaylah to get a little more loot out of them). It's not something I really do myself, but it's something to at least consider when you're at that point of 40's starting to get easier but maybe quite aren't ready for 43's.
I'm lower level and hit a 35uc, took out Frankin-a (as expected). Took out my 2nd warship. Auger, my main ship minimal damage. Result as loot crew indicates I earned 5 Edicts (up from 4 shown in rewards chest). If I did my normal crew I'd lose vidar and have a scratch on Auger and light damage on Centurion. The loot crew is cool, but for lowered players I don't recommend it. When hitting bigger targets the loot multiplier appears to be worth it.

Hadn't considered jaylah. I've just been using 2 ships. 5,6, khan on a newton and geordi, bev, Picard on a kelvin.

I just tried this on the 40s I usually can beat and lost horribly, I tried 3 times first time no exocomp bonus second time with an armada exocomp bonus, 3rd time I tried changing out Lorca to miles on the franklin. All 3 times it kicked my ass. I was using my T7 jelly my T6 Franklin and I have my defiant at T2. Guess I need to stick with what I Ws running before.
Yea 40s are a big jump, especially from 35s. So you need a really heavy carrier to get through them and use the loot crew
@@RevDeuce I can hit the 40s using my maxed ent t7 jelly and my defiant but I guess my jelly just doesn’t have enough to pull me through to finish the armada. Hopefully I will have the kelvin soon and can start leveling that up
Geordi gives bonus loot based on how much your ship takes in regular armadas. Does he operate the same on solo armadas making it advantageous to put him on your largest ship?

I know this is an older video but trying out this method, granted I'm only hitting 35s I'm getting 1 less edict using the crews compared to if I use 5 and Geordi.

i can do lv35 uncommon dominions but i cant do the lv40 ones its to hard may need work on my enti a bit more and my voyager so since i can cream the lv35 i went with full loot crew tolra as cap and toli and 5 of 11 on the sides and base 4 edicts and i get 9 edicts from one armada my other crew has kirk kahn and 6 of 11 i can only make two armada crews so i can get 63 edicts a week and 252 edicts a month

I still have a hard time figuring out when to punch up. I level to 38 recently and can handily do the 35, hell I can do 3 in a row without repairing with Ente, Sala and Intrepid but I can't dent the ones in Level 40 even with proper crews (aka no loot crews). Like this it takes a long ass time to get the defiant...
At lvl 35 I can't take the 40 solo with an aug, ent and d4. Was wondering if it was only me struggling g with those 40s

I tried it out. Could only hit a lvl 35 and it worked well...225% increase on Solo credits and 750% increase on Edicts

Okay, I have run your loot crew, but I have had less than desirable payouts , took on a 35 Jem'Hadar armada, and while the credits were good, I got less than what the minimum loot for edicts, where it says 4 is available, I only got 3. I can't post the screenshots. Maybe you can help me under why
Though your intention for this video was maximize loot for solo armadas could this same concept not be used by alliances to boost collected loot from exchange and cardassian armadas with the smaller weaker players running loot crew while the bigs do the damage. Everyone benefits from it.
Cadet bones and tng both give 12% effectiveness to captains manuver

Just tested this on a 35. It actually took an Edict away from me rather than doubling it. But doubled the credits at least. Though it doesn't seem like 5, Geordi, and Jaylah stacked together. So maybe just doesn't work on 35s? Something wrong with 35s maybe?
Well they don't stack unless they're on the same ship.
Instead each ship gets its own base loot, and then the bonuses specific to that ship are applied to their own base loot share.
This is also why you can lose edicts, as loot truncates per ship instead of rounding.
Well, didn't lose the Edict until I put the Franklin A in the fight. And as I'm only 35, fighting 35s. My Franklin A is relatively close to power of my 2 other ships. Considering how easily I'm winning I could try using smaller ships, but not sure why an edict is falling off if its supposed to double it. Worst case scenario, shouldn't I still be getting 4 at least. Never had an issue when not using the loot officers, so don't see why using them would suddenly take away from my edicts.
@@slipstream8299 Worst case scenario is you get 3, because it truncates. So if for example your main ship gets 3.6 edicts and your Franklin-A gets 0.8 (doubled from 0.4), you end up with 3 and 0. This is a potential problem any time that you use multiple ships.
Now if they're similar power you wouldn't expect 3 though, so might be worth checking that you've got Jaylah as captain and not on the side.
The loot showing in the battlelog isn't right anyway.... to know the right loot you received you need to check what you have before in your inventory and what you have after the armada. In the battlelog it only shows 1 ship loot like it would in any other armadas. So the reason Rev has more loot in his battlelog is because he's using 2 weaker ships with his Valdore making the Valdore getting a bigger % of the loot from the armada
They changed this to show total loot.

hey Rev. Your basing your whole video on the premise that everyone has the defiant and all those officers you are using for your solo armadas. So your video does nothing for everyone who doesn't have those officers. You are doing a service for all of us. And we are thankful. Until everyone can get those officers. They don or won't get the same results your getting. I have watched as many as your videos I could find. Some were helpful. Others not so. Have a happy holiday and hope all is well with you and your family.
He's not doing the video just for you, he's doing it for everyone. A lot of people DO have these ships and officers. He can't wait for everyone to catch up...
I tried with Jaylah and lvl35 Solo and she didnt work. Did direct comparison w/ w/o her and there is no difference.
It does work, so might be an issue with your setup. You have her as captain on the Franklin or Franklin-A? And your other ships aren't already running 100% bonus (e.g. max rank 5of11)? Or is the ship only a fraction of the total fleet power and so double would be less than 1 edict still?
This doesn't work without Defiant. I actually get less edicts 3 out of predicted 4 if I run this without Defiant.

No, it doesn’t work. I tried it for rep grind but it was the same as PMC was for the kills
5of11 is not a combat ability and thus does not show in the battle log so it isn't affected by Pike/Picard

Base loot is distributed between each of the ships, and truncated instead of rounded. So if each ship got 2/1.6/.4 you would get 2/1/0.
Tried 3 times and i get more with a single ent with 5 than i do with 3 ships with 5 geordie and jaylah ?
Possible, depends on your ships, crews and bonuses. The base loot is shared between each of the three ships, and then each of them apply their loot bonuses.
I just tried this on a 40. I got 12 edicts instead of the 10 it showed in space. But that's nowhere near the increase that is shown in the video (about 10x). Any ideas what this could be?
Were you using a Defiant as well?

@@RevDeuce Did Scopely nerf this? I just ran Geordi and 5/11 on a 35, but only got 4 Edicts. 5/11 used to work for me when Dominion space was first added, now nothing.
@@RevDeuce Also wondering if they nerfed this. When I first tried these crews, I was getting 7 edicts, vs. the 4 it says it would grant. Recently, however, I have only been getting 5 using the same crews. So I went from getting 3 extra to just 1 extra per armada. Still nice to get 1 extra, but it does seem like they might have nerfed it
I don't think with the build you have in this video a 50 UC would be possible. Especially if doing loot crews.

I'm unsure on the exact interaction with the Defiant, but ignoring that you basically want the highest average loot bonus across all ships. So if you have 1 ship with 60% bonus, then you'll get 160% loot. If you instead have ships with 60%/80%/100% and each gets say 60%/25%/15% of the base loot then you'll instead get 171% loot.
@@johnd5952 If you can win with one ship and run geordi bev 5 and win then you will get a higher loot bonus I imagine than running 2 ships with lesser bonus loot crews.. I am not factoring the defiant in here.. Now of course jaylah is 100% so pitching in your franky A would give you a smaller amount of loot bonus if you can not run the 1 ship armada loot crew mentioned above but because its power is relatively low seems a little wasteful
@@mattwhitely1067 Yes, in the example where you can do it with only 1 ship and full loot crews then this would generally be better. You could even make that 1 ship your Franklin-A and add Jaylah's bonus. What you're looking for is simply the highest average bonus weighted by power ratios.
However.. this would mean that you're doing a pretty easy solo armada and if you hit up a level or 2 then running multiple ships with a lower average weighted bonus can still end up giving more overall loot (depending what you can get away with on each level of armada).

Anyone test this and not seeing good results? I dunno if Scopely have changed it but I just ran a test and got nothing like the loot I expected. With Geordie 5 and Jaylah I was boosting loot by 220% - howevr on 35 unc 48.5k creds - went to 85k creds and 4 edicts went up to 5 - I was expecting to get more loot than I do from a 40 unc with only 5 as a loot officer but it was nowhere close to that.
Only one ship with all three officers, or three ships with one on each? The bonuses don't stack if they're not on the same ship, so if they're on multiple ships you're really getting the average of each weighted by the power ratio for that ship.
@@johnd5952 That doesn't sound right.. 6:16 you can see rev has Geordie on 1 ship 5 on another and the Franklin with Jaylah (which is what I did) also as Jaylah and Geordie are captain abilities if what you said is right they couldn't be used together. The 1.3m Franklin has Jaylah, the 5.2m Augur had 5 and the 3.6m Enterprise has Geordie. I was kinda assuming that power difference doesn't affect the loot like in normal armadas, but maybe it does affect it for the loot bonus.
10.2m power
Augur 5.3m = 51.9% of power with 40% loot bonus
Ent 3.6m = 35.3% of power with 80% loot bonus
Franklin 1.3m = 12.7% of power with 100% loot bonus
If you look it like this then it makes more sense if the Franklin only got 12% of the loot and then had a 100% increase the numbers make more sense. Regardless I'm sticking to punching up to 40s as I get much more loot.
@@markoconnor7163 Yeah, Rev has them split out over 3 ships, which is basically finding the right mix of being able to kill high enough levels for the higher base loot and maximising loot bonuses (and that it's weighted average is why the difference between his loot crew and non-loot crew isn't huge).
If you can hit higher though that's generally better, but as you get more powerful it opens up options (like maybe you'll be able to kill the 40's with only 2 ships, and then you could add in the Franklin-A with Jaylah to get a little more loot out of them). It's not something I really do myself, but it's something to at least consider when you're at that point of 40's starting to get easier but maybe quite aren't ready for 43's.

I'm lower level and hit a 35uc, took out Frankin-a (as expected). Took out my 2nd warship. Auger, my main ship minimal damage. Result as loot crew indicates I earned 5 Edicts (up from 4 shown in rewards chest). If I did my normal crew I'd lose vidar and have a scratch on Auger and light damage on Centurion. The loot crew is cool, but for lowered players I don't recommend it. When hitting bigger targets the loot multiplier appears to be worth it.
