Had to sit through a DEI workshop recently and sat fuming while the 400lbs ‘she, her’ instructor verbally shat all over straight white men for 2 hours, in terms that would have got her fired if she’d said it about any other group. With two sons at home, I spoke up about the unacceptable levels of relentless negative messaging directed against males, with boys hearing this as they go through their development, suggesting that this is the best way of alienating men, and creating hatred between the two sexes, and of course the fact that it’s unfair. The result is that we will have to undergo further’re- education’ workshops, as I snd a whole bunch of other people failed to ‘get with the program’.

I would fein stupidity as a guy, why? Cause that is what they want. Get a free pass because. Ask the most stupid questions and continue to say I don't understand. Please simplify it.
I don't care if I am thought of as stupid. Being thought of as stupid has its benefits.
Why is it men that are used as the butt of jokes, and they did almost all the slapstick?
It is the vindictive nature of the movements that is the issue.

Kellie talks about men leaving families most of the time, is possible disingenuous but definitely factually incorrect, it's a stereotype that has been disproven by the statistics. the truth is that 75%-80% of the time its the woman who files for divorce or initiates the break up, the problem is that what people see is the man leaving the family home, but they don't realise that it's because he's was being kicked out.

I respect Kellie-Jay but when she claims not to be a feminist I have to laugh as she has supported the core aspect of modern feminist ideology; sex + power. For example she demanded women were allowed into male only spaces (private members clubs) as she believes these clubs hold lots of power and getting women into them is a must if we hope to tackle inequality. At the same time she defends women only gyms and other women only spaces and when called out on the hypocrisy she starts talking about power dynamics. This is modern feminist and woke ideology and yet she claims to be resisting such things. Her recent "let women talk" spaces are a perfect example of this nonsense because she would be outraged if there were a "let men talk" space and she hates any man invading her women only talks. It's really frustrating because I support her in so many ways, and that includes equal rights for women; yet she seems to falling into the same trap of demanding equality while promoting inequality when it suits her.
Karen Straughn is a far superior representation of true equality. She simply asks that men and women are given the same rights, freedoms and opportunities. If men want their own spaces she supports that, and if women want their spaces she also supports that. She believes people should be judged on their abilities with the same tests; absolute and true equality.
    I love Karen :)

@@jujutrini8412 that’s true. A lot of people file for divorce long after separation. And she made a point that of the single mothers she personally knows, the fathers are having no contact - not all exhusbands. But the way she said it looks like she thinks it’s the majority- like it’s some flaw in men. I wouldn’t be surprised if the fathers in those situations are being deliberately excluded, or feel completely helpless because their exes make it impossible to be involved in their kids lives.

    • @RageKage987

@@jujutrini8412 yeah but it's a huge factor which does imply women leave more if you have no opposing stats, I don't know how you can disagree. you could say any stat isn't mutually exclusive that doesn't prove anything or disprove anyone. it makes no sense to think that if women initiate most divorces that it would somehow be different if you go to normal relationships why are you having kids when you aren't married for one? and for 2 if the guy isn't married, he has not vowed to protect his family so it's a completely different situation and it doesn't really matter if men leave before marriage, they literally made no commitment to you and are under no obligation to stay with you and you shouldn't be having kids when you're not so how does what you're saying prove anything? it seems when commitments are made men stay almost all the up to 80% it's your own fault if you believe in someone who's made no commitment, and you end up pregnant bc you let him do various things bc you believed them. here's a quick fix stop having babies until your married stop trying to baby trap men stop trying to manipulate men and maybe they won't leave. women no doubt leave or force fathers out of the home at much higher rates no one talking about every single miniscule example you can come up with that might be different 80% is not something you can offset with anecdotes. if your saying men leave but don't file divorce then come on you have no stats for that and you have no idea what the number is it could be less than 1% unless you actually do some research and tell me how many women file divorce after men just disappear then you might have a point but you literally have no clue and you just think that's the reason with no basis to believe it other than bias.

@@LunaMondhexe Actually about 4% claimed any sort of abusive behaviour from their husbands - which includes abusing substances. The vast majority where for reasons such as "we drifted apart". About the same percentage of men as women were unfaithful - but then again that was only 6% of reasons for divorce. I'd have to check it again, but from memory wives being abusive was about 3%. So similar but lower. It's just not a reason that features highly statistically. In the real world women essentially just get bored and have incentives to get divorced, which is why 80% of divorces are initiated by women. Whereas men know they will get screwed over in divorce so they don't usually imitate it.

Men's mental heath and suicide is part of a much bigger picture involving exclusion from school, lack of higher education, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic and child abuse, a lack of male specific services, divorce and custody, accidents and illness due to work, financial issues like gambling and bankruptcy, homelessness, prison and harsher sentencing. I agree with Posie Parker on trans issues but it felt like she was washing her hands with the topic of men's mental health here. I feel like she doesn't really care, at least she didn't say it was "toxic masculinity" so that's something. Also, Karen looked like she wanted to jump in and correct her but then never got the chance to say her piece.

It is blindingly obvious that for many years little boys have been told not to be boys, then as they grow, they are told to show more feelings and it is ok to cry and be like a girl. This must be taken in to consideration when talking about the high rate of male suicide and mental health in general. I am of the older generation and I was raised to be a man, a real man, a man that takes it on the chin and no matter what, provides for his woman and children, no matter what. This dose not mean that men like myself do not get sad, angry and upset about all kinds of things, it just means that our upbringing gave us the inner power to push past what for us is important and then concentrate on what is important for our loved ones who depend on us so much. To be a man actually means something, just as to be a woman actually means something, and together a man and a woman can get through anything by using their power given to them by nature. Our society is all about destroying this wonderful partnership of opposites that has brought our species so far.

I'm glad this is being talked about - it's everywhere in society. I play a lot of board games and it is even in the rulebooks for them. As mentioned when talking about the adverts - a lot of rulebooks have all the negative examples as males and all the positive examples as females, though this is lesser now as they are tending to go gender neutral. Some games even show the same bias in the art - the male characters look goofy or disgusting, but the female characters look epic, and even the setting - there are some that show every person with any kind of power as female unless they are on the evil side where they are almost exclusively men. And those are just the things that I have personally noticed in board games alone. I'm sure there are other kinds of misandry in board games and I know it's just as bad or even worse in other mediums - I barely watch modern films for example (though that is for many reasons, but the treatment of men is one of them).

In video games you have big macho, muscle bound men and puny seductress women. In real life you have a guy in a suit dancing with a nearly naked woman, you have male gymnasts in a leotard with pants over the top while the female gymnasts are doing acrobatics in a G string. Beach volley ball, men in proper shorts and vest top, women in vest top and very skimpy bikini bottom, while females in water sports all have their ass hanging out. Don't tell me that visual representations of men, make them inferior.

Ow those poor woman.... I can get so angry if I hear woman always whining that they are victims. I divorced my wife, she abused my son every time when I was gone from home. I didn't knew that till 5 years ago. During the courts for the divorce the judge and childcare listened to my son. My son didn't and still doesn't want to see his mother. But during the sessions in court the judge did everything to bring my son together with her. He even forced me to agree. My son was already run to my house because he was afraid for his mother. He went under pressure of the judge 3 times to her. The third time she abused him again. He run away and called me crying that he was afraid. I said to him to come home to me and I didn't let him go to his mother anymore. And still after this the judge tried to convince me and my son who had a hard time trough the pressure to go to her. We didn't done that.
So woman of the world, you poor victims. If this was turned around, imagine what would happen. Imagine that I was the abuser. In day one my child was given then to her because she is the woman. And I maybe must go to jail as the abuser. But noooo it was the woman who was the abuser. So no consequences for her. Now my son is living happy with me for these years this were very hard times for me and my son. After three years the judge was saying that my son was old enough then to say were he wanted to live.
So not mad a decision that he was abused bit three years going toncourt made him old enough to say were he want to live.
This scar he carries that with him forever. And I wil carrying that scar forever. Can I also say Me-too or is that only for woman?

I can only speak for the US and maybe it's different in Australia. The correct phrasing is that women attempt suicide more than men but men are unfortunately more likely to die from suicide due to the methods they use. It is not that men are saddened and depressed more. But for argument's sake, I will continue to priortize women over men no matter what the circumstances are. In other words, men attempting suicide after his wife/girlfriend breaks up with him should not stop women from breaking up with men. His suicde, while tragic, is not women's problem.

    • @davexb6595
      @davexb6595 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

You've missed the point. There is systemic discrimination in the divorce industry against men and fathers. To the point where the family court process is weaponised against men. It is not the break down of the relationship per se. It is how the state apparatus functions to destroy the men and fathers.
In Australia 7 men commit suicide every day! In a population of 22 million! Over the last decade, the age-standardised suicide rate for males increased from 16.2 deaths per 100,000 population in 2011 to 18.6 in 202o. And your response is "... to priortize women over men no matter what the circumstances are." - which is exactly what the agencies involved have been doing. Apparently as long as a few women threaten suicide then we should ignore men actually dying. Because after all those 7 men a day are only dying, whereas the women's feeling have been hurt.

Agree. Men are risk takers, and emotionally more extreme than women. It’s no surprise their depression takes them to the edge where they take the plunge. They also don’t form close emotional bonds, or admit due to their egos that they are struggling. That’s something men need to come together to strategise ways to counter this. Men need men’s groups. They could easily form these if they wanted. Far too much blame between the sexes here. Male problems can be sorted by men for men. That would be a healthy way forward.

The other day, I was watching a programme about women in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. They were beautiful, gentle, intelligent and passionate. And all they want is to be treated with dignity and to have a decent man that respected them. Here in the west we have gotten to the stage where, women are aggressive and want to dominate, they're covered in tattoos and ultra prmoiscuous and think they're just doing what (bad) men have done since the dawn of time. The average woman wants a man who is in the top 10% echelon and will suffer nothing less. The average, decent man is repulsive to the average woman and simply not good enough.
Your average, decent bloke is constantly paying the price for the actions of bad men (that women love to flock to) in society. Those bad men keep on being bad men and women keep on falling for them, yet, like I say, we pick up the bill.
The western society has made it's bed and is now lying very uncomfortably in it.
