There is a real art to this. I just made my first pair while watching g this video and yours turned out way better but I am proud of mine and my sweet hubby adores them!
Thank you for this video. There is not a lot of information on how to make slippers out there and this was really great, from start to finish. I look forward to try making them this way as I have similar lasts.
@@Rhynome You can of course dip them in latex a few times, or brush thin layers of latex on, letting the latex dry before the next layer. I usually also have a thin layer of potatoflour over the sole when all the layers of latex are totally dry.
@@Rhynome Yes it will. However, when you've had a few layers of latex on, the rubbersoles will stick to each other, and a thin layer of potatoflour brushed on will prevent this. Excess flour is easily brushed off.

Thank you so much, Arlene.
I look forward to see a photo of your slippers.
Loved your video, where can I find the Styrofoam foot lasts?
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Great information, thank you so much.
Where do you get a template?! Could I get the measurements you used. Or do I just use measurments from my feet? Thanks
Hi, You can measure your feet, and add up 1/3 or 1/2, depending on how much wool you use. I usually calculate schrinkage to 40-50%.
Hvor mye ull bør man bruke? How mutch wool du u need?
Super!
Brilliant video. After rinsing the shoes of soap do you leave them on the last to dry? Thanks in advance.
Yes, I leave them on the last to dry, at least until almost dry.
@@ullform7160 Thank you very much! As for adding a sole, do you dip the shoes in liquid latex a few times (if using latex)?

@@ullform7160 If the latex is completely dry won't the potatoflour eventually just rub off? This is a fascinating new world for me.
