Its messed up but there are better ways to express your feelings about it. My mom was in charge of 8 siblings and she is the best mom. She's also extremely close to her brothers and sisters.

Exactly, this is why “Parentification” (a child being given the responsibility of caring for their siblings, and sometimes parents, in a parent role) is a recognised form of childhood neglect/trauma that can affect an individual far beyond their childhood years. No child should have to carry the burden and responsibility of raising another child or taking on a parental role.

That's why I'm glad in the first case that the step father forgave Ty'asia despite how hard it obviously had to be for him to do so. Having to babysit 4 small children every day or every other day is a heavy burden for an adult let alone a 13 year old baby. I pray she learned from her mistake and got her life on track. Rest in peace to the baby that lost her life also. It's sad all the way around.

Next another brother who was never home (RIP) he lived a full life, father of three daughters (6GrKids) Vietnam vet. #4 my bully brother before me...lol He is now 71 & not all there to many drugs and a Vietnam vet. The biggest influencer was my sister. Definitely not placing blame, it's not a matter of fault.

If each state makes responsible laws of their own in regard to abortion it shouldn't be an issue.
Sadly, it is something that is often a slippery slope in one way or the other.
One side wants to regulate it so strictly that it would be virtually impossible for someone to obtain an abortion, while the other side would like to make it legal to abort a baby up to (and in some cases beyond) the baby's actual due date.
One would think that common sense would prevail and they could meet somewhere in the middle on this hotly debated issue.
Any laws regarding abortion should also address the issue of personal responsibility in regard to the prevention of potentially unwanted pregnancy.
And, in my personal opinion, tax payer dollars should never be utilized to pay for abortion.
Every single county in every single state has Department of Health facilities that readily provide a multitude of services and products (from birth control and the morning after pill to condoms to tubal ligation, vasectomies, etc.) that prevent pregnancy from occurring to begin with for absolutely FREE (or a small fee based upon the person's income).
Department of Health facilities also provide FREE cancer screenings (breast, cervical and testicular) and they even provide cancer treatments in some cases.
So, there are a multitude of available avenues by which to prevent unwanted pregnancies to start with instead of having to worry about needing an abortion.
Just stating what my personal opinions are and I absolutely understand the fact that other people have other opinions that do not align with my own opinions and I am respectful about that.
And, I am absolutely willing to listen to their opinions and I am open minded enough to potentially change my stance on abortion based upon whatever they share with me.

You aren't alone. I was the youngest but even I see that taking care of children is alot of work. Once you have children, it isn't about you or anything you want because you have to think of them. I always say dont have children if you aren't ready and NO age doesn't mean shit, your job and salary don't mean shit. Nobody is ever truly ready to be parents and children shouldn't be put in charge at all even when teens cause they dont know what they are doing either and often think for themselves

It sounds like all these kids were given a responsibility that they weren’t meant to carry (raising their own siblings). It takes a toll on one to be mom and dad before you’re even a teenager. I get that parents work and stuff but also, parents shouldn’t be pumping kids like they’re going out of style if they theme selves aren’t actively being parents. It’s a responsibility that should only be for the parents.
Also I’m the sixth of eight children. I was primarily raised by my eldest sister and eldest brother. My brother died of a drug overdose when I was a teen because of the depression and self hatred that he couldn’t pursue the education and career he wanted to stay and raise us. Being a parenting child has consequences mentally, emotionally, and physically.

On #3 my heart was breaking when the stepfather said what he did about placing too much pressure on his stepdaughter.
We see that a lot in our society but hearing him say that showed that he loves his stepdaughter every bit as much as he did his own child which she murdered. 😪💔
Rarely do you see a parent in this situation admit that but he had the strength and courage to evaluate the entire occurrence and come to that conclusion.
    And, I agree with him.
Sadly, that revelation was too late to save the 2 year old little girl.
Hopefully, in time, they will all get counseling and overcome the tragedy and go on to live happy and productive lives.
All too often we are seeing older siblings being placed in a parental position.
They are certainly not mature enough emotionally to deal with it and it shouldn't be done unless it's during a parent's quick trip to the grocery store on rare occasions.
Leaving a young teenager in charge of multiple younger children for hours at a time is not something that should done on a routine basis.
Ultimately, a 2 year old little girl and her older teenage sister paid a huge price for it.
I realize babysitters are very expensive but none of them could compare to a higher price than the cost of a loss of life.
Well, ultimately two lives were lost that day.
    💔😪💔

Taking care of children when you yourself are a child is a harrowing task. My entire childhood, I was tasked with taking care of my brother, half-brother, and step-siblings. I would have to make sure none of them got lost while on trips, being the only one keeping track of them even though I only had two little hands to hold them. I had to make sure they brushed their teeth, and I had to find ways to correct their behavior while also protecting them from abuse if my father found out the things they did. If any of the 4 other kids messed up, the question was always, "Ash, how did you let them do something so stupid?" Kids are not meant to raise kids. I can attest to how it steals your developmental years. It's not a shock to me that a kid would get overwhelmed and believe that murder would be their only way out of the constant stress and assault to the senses that is being a caregiver as a child. Every part of these situations is so tragic because it is so preventable.

My mom made me watch my two younger sister's. It started when I was 4. It became full time at age 6, when not at school. It was to much for me. My father was very abusive. When I was 21, I moved away, cut all ties with my father, and never had children. I had told my mon at age 12, I wasn't going to ever have children. She asked me years later, along with many of my family members, why I didn't want children. I told them the truth. I have already raised my children and I didn't want to go through that again. It's to hard. Some of my family cried after hearing this. I'm so angry at the Supreme Court. If you don't or can't have children, it's cruel to force it, both on the pregnant person, and their off spring. This world isn't good enough for any child of mine.

A lot of the reason the cops didn’t do what they should have is because they couldn’t understand that a child could kill another child however it has happened for many years and it continues to happen. Children mustn't be given adult responsibilities. Doing that is stealing away some of their happy, insouciant times. For a child to show signs of being maladjusted, then does the unthinkable is one thing. When the kid comes from a loving home and seems perfectly content, then snaps especially on one of their own. I can't imagine what the parents are going through.

The very simple commonality with these cases is not having anyone around to help raise the kids.
In the modern western world there is the profound isolation created by the cultural insistence on the nuclear family. If you have two parents working, who is watching the kids? Where are the grandparents, the cousins, or the neighbors? It takes a village, so where is it? Humans have lived communally since before there even were humans. This kind of isolation only starts happening after the industrial revolution when it was realized that you could scam people by making them think buying their own home complete with all their own stuff was some idyllic ideal. It also makes abuse go unnoticed, restricts community organizing, and makes the elderly be shipped off to understaffed and underfunded facilities.

They look like school pictures and he looks much older in the second one, so it's at least a year apart. Maybe that was his favorite shirt to wear on picture day. I've had shirts that I wore for 2-3 years, so it's not that unusual to have a shirt that long. The only weird thing is that at his age he didn't grow out of it!

I have 3 children all 8 years apart, and ended up being a single parent, with no help, so I get these parents having no option at times for child care, but in hindsight, if I had to do it all over again, I would not have left the responsibility to my oldest to take care of his siblings. It turned out ok for me, and it was not an all day thing him watching his siblings, just a few hours a day, and some days not at all, but it was a lot of responsibility for a teenage boy. My point is if I had a chance to do it over, I would have done things differently.
All my kids turned out great and are super close, to this day. They are grown now..just makes you think, do you ever really know? A kid might be feeling a certain way, or thinking things, and you have no idea.

    • @Bubba__Sawyer

That wasn't fair to do to the oldest. Why wasn't their father in the picture?

    • @LisaSmith-fr8fh
      @LisaSmith-fr8fh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Does it really matter why he wasn't in the picture? Obviously he wasn't or I would have not posted what I did.
No it wasn't fair to him at all, I totally agree, but when you have no other family or the father's support at all, including financially, what do you do? Work another job to be away from them even more to pay for childcare? It a no win situation for some. When you have children, you don't know how things will end up sometimes, and you have to do what you have to do to support them. I didn't have a Chrystal ball to look into my future. I've seen post on here, well don't have kids you can't take care of, and I agree with that too, but like many things in life, it is unpredictable, and you have to do the best you can and do with what you have.

    • @lulub1433
      @lulub1433 2 ปีที่แล้ว

My first thought I don't know why, was that Kevin shot the little brother and then at the older brother as he was coming at him, but the older brother overtook him and turned the gun on him. It just does not seem logical the boy just shot his brother in the leg turned it on himself...But I would think evidence would show that.

More like have a bunch of children you can't take care off and let one of them to care for them until they snap. Taking care of 9 kids??? And I thought caring for 4 kids was bad enough. Not excusing error crime but we just have to see how selfish are their parents.

Never heard of some of these cases. Geez, tiesha you didn’t have to kill your little sister. Take your punishment about the darn boy. I do agree with her step dad, sadly kids especially the oldest are made to be the parent while The parents are working or doing whatever. I have an older friend, who raised all 10 of her siblings. She told me one day she came home and stopped her parents from having sex, knowing she would have another to raise. Her mother a nurse worked at night on purpose so she didn’t have to deal with the kids. So messed up. And to this day my friend is close to 60 and her parents Still expect her to help her siblings 😞🥹
