It wasn’t exactly stupid though, she needed to be independent and save herself
I think the problem is that Eda didn't explain to Kerem what she felt exactly. She didn't reject him, but she chose herself. She didn't explain the pressure she felt from her family and the expectations of her mother. And I think Kerem would have understood that better than her rant, which for him came out of nowhere. So I agree with you, it was kind of Edas fault. But - they both never reached out to each other. And I think this regret infuses old Edas reactions in the first season. She regrets not finding another way with Kerem. Which I think it was so fitting that they saw each other again and both immediately showed their fingers, indicating that they both didn't get married. Which eased their conversations later. But I would have preferred a sign that they might try again, it's just assumption at this point.
