You need more steering wheel time. And sit down. You'll do better. I used to run one standing up till I got used to a 120 sitting down. I can see the cutting edges better sitting.
And very few have any leg room at all.The un my feet past the throttle and just run it with the hand throttle most of the tome. Arthur don't like to be squeezed, at least my right knee don't!
I got two track loaders 955 cat 500 international. 955 cat is just a d4 with a loader. 500 international is same machine as a dozier. Only difference is your track pads. Instead of dozer pads. I also got komatsu dozier with 6 way blade. Track loaders do about 90 per cent of work. Really only thing a dozier is good for is final grading. And i could do that with either one of track loaders. That was what a 4 way bucket was designed for. My cat loader even came factory with a dozier blade that could be swapped out.
When I was a kid old enough to reach the controls 10-11 yrs old I'd go to work with my dad and he taught me how to operate heavy equipment. My first machine was a traxcavator 977. By the end of the summer he would sit on the trailer and watch me and he would give me skills tests I'd need to do

killing old growth since 1977 lol that’s what I tell ppl about ur arm and hindend feeling grade change and after ur on it awhile you can make the move before it happens making it smooth haha and learning on a straight blade helps out! A loader does very well tho and if need to dress up can use half bucket full and it falls in the holes same as straight blade well close anyway lol
Who's the numb skull in the video that says a Dozer would be better at this job than this track loader. He's clueless who ever he is. This guy on this track loader will out work a straight dozer any day of the week and twice on Saturday. This guy is good!!!!
Mark Sleeper 953?! 955L with the big undercarriage were pushing machines probably push more than 53 but no where near as quick and easy on the operator lol
The 953 is a very good and versatile machine especially with a clamshell bucket as you can load and doze also grade if you are an experienced professional
Lenny LOADER work. Looks like a 953 hydrostatic. I'd rather do a job like this anytime with a loader than a dozer. And that wobble stick beats the old Cat backwards bucket lever any day!

I've never gotten the point of a crawler-loader. It doesn't have the same pushing/ grading ability of a dozer, but also doesn't have the convenience of a wheel loader...Though ANY tracked equipment is cool.
there are advantages and disadvantages to every piece of equipment... while a dozer MIGHT have an edge when it comes to grading; a track loader can carry dirt and dump it if necessary... a rubber tired loader isn't even worth mentioning in this application...

It's really no harder then with a Dozer, tractor go's up blade go's down, tractor go's down blade go's up. But then I broke in on Dozers with no tilt.
