i wouldn't call this too similar to silver oud personally -- king blue may still have an oud assam accord, but the woody base is much more based in conventional mass-appeal amberwoods. Think PDM Layton Exclusif or things similarly in that vein. The main woody molecule in the base of this is Sylvamber, a deeper interpretation of Iso E Super: you'll get a lot of cedary and ambery notes. There's also a big dose of ethyl maltol, which is a sugary ingredient that gives fragrances like baccarat rouge 540 its cotton candy punch. This has MORE. so although there is an oud note, i find more of the beast mode longevity through these heavy hitter mass appealing sweet, ambery molecules. Funnily enough, the intense fruitiness for me makes the oud a bit more pungent right in the beginning, but it backs off a ton. on the flip side, silver oud's woody side is more based around birch accords and ambrarome, which is a cistus labdanum derived molecule that actually includes skatole -- something that is literally found in feces! but is meant to add to the leathery facet. The sweetness in silver oud comes more from the chocolatey facets of the patchouli paired with vanilla as opposed to the candylike fruitiness of the ethyl maltol and fruit notes in king blue. and the woodyness is completely different in my opinion. I enjoy both, but i largely prefer silver oud. I find King Blue tries to bring a skanky oud accord into that more pleasant and designer-esque DNA of fruity woody amber profiles, and it shows in the sillage, the oud itself is almost masked by those huge performing molecules...so i personally think it isn't as worth compared to the unapologetic nature of silver oud. King Blue tries to play nice but also tries to be a final boss of those trendy beastmode frags. Honestly to me a more apt ''sweet" cousin of silver oud are the interludes...not this LOL i found reports of these molecules through GCMS analyses from friends online
wow, thank you, man. Much appreciated. This is such a great analysis and descriptive breakdown. It is an interesting journey into the world of fragrances and there is always so much more to learn. There is much to agree with in what you write. Often my mind changes after the first experience and initial wears, though time limitations prevent me from doing follow-up vids. Thanks for watching and the info 🙏

So deep and analytical. You know your stuff, probably have your perfume making setting.
I love silver oud, is this stronger than silver oud?
It is as strong as silver oud though balanced out with the fruity notes
Very similar oud accord, but this one's more versatile, comforting and sweet, imo.
@@andrei-cosmin.popa85 yes it is definitely more versatile
