I find it very strange how people have reacted to Gypsy Rose and her release from prison. While I feel for all that she's been through, treating her like a celebrity is troubling.
Im fine with her getting a positive welcoming back to society, even maybe becoming the face of muchausen and do good for others mental health getting through their own issues. But this celebrity status attention... ya, its weird af. Especially when the mentally manipulated bf is stll in jail to continue to serve his life sentence.

@@brenda4085 That's where I have compassion and sympathy for her. I'd even say, had she been the 1 to shoot her mom, she wouldn't deserve jail time for it. Gypsy manipulating her bf to do it, is where she got in wrong. Her mother was atrocious to her. Even changing her birthdate back to being a minor just to keep control over her. She truly felt no way out due to how sheltered she was. She did use a BB gun thinking it was real. Her mom was absolutely out of control and sick. It's too bad the family didn't see it and intervene before all their lives were changed... or lost.
That is not her fault.
Former victim of domestic violence here. "Why you didn't just walk/leave him/walk away” is really the worst question you can ask a victim. I somewhat understand the good intention, but we already have a hard time dealing with us not walking away earlier. This makes us feel even more stupid. If someone decides to open up and tell you their abusive story, PLEASE resist from asking this very question.

I would imagine a DA survivor would be afraid they would be hunted down by their abuser. Once found, the punishment would be immense.
Imagine posing as a mental health professional in any fashion and then cheating on your wife with an employee. Abuse of power much? Then again, abuse doesn't seem that unfamiliar in practice, does it? Does living in your employee's home mean they get a raise? Like, in pay, not your lower member
I used to love his channel but even a while back. When his ex lived with him I started getting the worst vibes. Almost like he was getting a sick sadistic enjoyment of talking about true crime shit(even this video he damn near sounds excited when he said "Dee Dee was stabbed 17 times".
Just based on the sadistic vibes I felt Im not shocked but man am I so sad for his wife. She was honestly the best part of his channel 😢

I totally agree with you on that! The sister wives or reality TV body language videos that she basically stared in were the best ones. I feel like he'll either do the body language analysis on his ex wifes expose of him like you suggested, and/or try to recreate what she did for his channel by using that "*community*" employee of his as a stand in to make similar content,you know? Try to recreate the Guinuine interest we all had for it... Failing to understand it wasn't just bc it was our favorite trash tv being broken down but it was the witty, hilarious, smart, and kind woman he had next to him.
His ex wife is a mental issue basket case. Id do the same if married to someone like that. There's 3 sides to every story. His, its amd amd the truth. I think Gypsy was media trained before getting out of prison for the anticipation of all this because she went from a toddler like person who’s uneducated to someone who can sit down and execute a interview flawlessly

I think that’s a good thing. This person has been maltreated for her entire life. Of course she didn’t see a way out from her abuser- doctors not only weren’t helping her, they were agreeing with what her abuser said. She did not get the start that most of us get with some ground in reality. It’s great that people think “I would never do this or that horrible thing that someone else did under extreme circumstances” but the truth is… the only way you can be absolutely positive about how you behave in duress is when you are in it yourself. If she had gone on a rampage and killed someone who wasn’t involved that would be an entirely different thing to me
She was media trained as a child. Remember she was in the spotlight while the abuse was happening. She did interviews, and presentations with her mother.

Heres the thing, Gypsy gives different answers in different interviews.
She makes it clear in one interview that she does not "identify" as a murderer since she didn't do "the kill".
In multiple places she places a whole lot of blame on Nick. Said that a real man would have helped her by contacting the police and tell her no to killing her mom.
Yes, Gypsy seems so honest and genuine on this interview however i don't think she is. She seems to be very conscious of what she should say on a national stage vs on the podcast interview or red carpet interviews.
Don't believe Logan. He's not good at reading people who's been abused. He made a video about Gabby Petito and defended the guy and thinking that she was overreacting and highly emotional. Which she was but she was also an abuse victim which he NEVER picked up on and just talked about her emotional state. We if you're being abused OF COURSE YOU'RE IN AN EMOTIONAL STATE! I defended him then but after thinking about it, I stopped. I like watching his videos still but this is the last one I will ever watch that's about an abuse victim because he gets it so wrong so bad. And if you look for that video, you won't find it because he took it down and issued an apology to the family and his supporters.

I know he posted a video on that case at a time when I was still watching his videos. I somewhat remember starting the video, but if he defended Brian, that's most likely what caused me to take a long break from his channel. I stayed subscribed but haven't watched any of his videos until his ex-wife posted the divorce update on her channel, so I came back now to see what I missed.
Ironically enough, he's the reason I subscribed to her channel in the first place. In one of his videos, he said she was dealing with health issues, and despite the wishes of many of his viewers, he was supporting her and her channel, and encouraging his viewers to subscribe as well, which I thought was very sweet at the time.
The healthcare systems that provided drugs and aided in these procedures & fake illnesses should be held responsible and criminally held for their negligence as well.
The ones that did surgeries, yes. The ones who believed patient reported symptoms and provided scans/tests & pain relief medication, no.
The last thing we want is to provide incentives for medical professionals to deny treatment to invisible disabilities just because 1 in a million people could be faking.

If anyone is looking for this, Swoop did a video on this recently on YT and in the last 1/2 of the documentary, she showed Gypsy & her husband answering questions in an interview and she clearly said (with a smile & through clenched teeth) “shut up”, and he suddenly got really quite and looked down like a wounded child.
He points out numerous red flags in this interview alone then makes excuses afterwards for her, don’t make any sense..I’ve never seen him do this before but I’m going to be unsubscribing,this was a biased opinion.

Most other videos on her have been like “Is Gypsy a Victim or a Manipulator?” when both can obviously be true. A bad person can be a victim, a generally good person can manipulate in some situations sometimes even unintentionally because it was a learned behavior from childhood. I think Gypsy lives in that gray area-it’s understandable that she felt like she had no other choice than to get rid of her mom when you consider her POV during that time, but it’s also clear that she learned how to lie and manipulate from DeeDee from a very early age. Nobody should be expecting her to be perfect, or even well-adjusted at this point, which is exactly why we shouldn’t turn her into a celebrity

Why didn't you just leave or reach out to someone? For me, it's because my father specifically told me that if I or anyone else ever called CPS on him, he would make sure that I was clean and healthy while the social worker was there and then as soon as they left, there would be some child abuse. He was extremely physically abusive and if you crossed him, he was moreso. So, I feared for my life if I tried to leave. Even when I did, to get married, he still tried to control my husband and I to the point where he actually physically hit me once because I hadn't told him a piece of news that we had and when I told him not to hit me, he threw a fit and wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the day. I am no contact with him now.
Genuinely I think the best thing we can do for Gypsy is to leave her alone from here. The part of her story that garnered so much attention has been resolved. Asking her to be the perfect victim under the spotlight to serve as entertainment or to fill some personal need will only lead to a worse outcome for her and everyone around her.

GR was manipulated and i believe she is a very good manipulator herself. she's so cringey, esp with her husband. she says she doesnt want attention but immediately made a tiktok and posts on there continuously. she's a walking red flag.
She doesn't post on her social media constantly in fact she's removed lots of her posts but even if she did it's her social media platforms so she can post as often as she wants, it's the first time she's had control of her own life, so why hold it against her if she wants to post lots of selfies she's not hurting anyone.

I have epilepsy, a REAL disability….that, under her own standards, she doesn’t believe is a disability. It offended me, and many others who live with non obvious disabilities. Mines fairly obvious when I have a seizure, I can tell you. And, I can look after myself, and I know “right from wrong” so….gypsy wouldn’t consider it a disability at all! I believe she's been used to getting lots of attention since she was a child, so she's enjoying this. However, it's apparent now that it's becoming overwhelming, as one might expect. Her doing interviews repeatedly, making $100 cameo and being very active on tik tok and arguing/saying outrageous things. I know she just wants to live her life and experience social media, but her acting like a celeb and going online saying She didn't do the murder, Nick did. Saying Nick isn't disabled "enough" with his autism. She should be laying low a lot more right after getting out of prison but she loves this attention she's getting. She even replied to a tik tok hate comment telling them the area she's staying at and to say it to her face. I guarantee her parole officer would NOT be very happy with all that she's doing right now. Why isn't she more scared of going back to prison??

What she went through at the hands of her mother was horrific. But I truly believe that she wanted her mother dead and she manipulated her boyfriend to kill her. She lied when she said she didn't think he would go through with it and if that's the case should have gone in the bedroom and tried to stop him. Now she's free and her boyfriend is in prison for the rest of his life. She is not even trying to seek justice for him because she doesn't give a damn. She just wanted her mother gone and used this poor guy who she convinced the only way would be to kill her mother. I feel she was at the age she could have consulted with doctors herself and reached out to others for help, not kill her mother.

they're not all "quacks," there is actual science behind it. I'd recommend watching The Behavior Panel because they're some of the main OGs of body language analysis and they actually explain the science behind it. There is a method to body language analysis, but there's no absolutes.

I think people are so interested in Gypsy Rose because most cases of MBP end in the death of the child or with the Dr’s and authorities figuring out what’s going on and the parent being arrested. This is a very unique case. It’s really unfortunate that Gypsy is being treated like a celebrity. Her entire life was a manipulation, then she was in prison and now she’s leaning into the celebrity status. She doesn’t have an amount of time to find who she is as a person. You can tell from the awkwardness of things she writes on social media that she’s mimicking what she thinks is cool, and comes off as a young teen rather than her age. It’s concerning that she married and didn’t have any time to grow up or be alone to find herself. The guy she’s married to gives me red flags too but that’s a different story.
Hot take - I think that Gypsy is a great manipulator. She learned a lot from her mother, and you dont typically become a better person in prison.

I don't really know how I feel about GRB herself, but I know I do not believe that the way people have reacted to her and worship her is okay or appropriate at all. My narc abuser ran a smear campaign on my as soon as I got out of the relationship, accusing me of doing all the same stuff she did to me. I was too emotionally exhausted and used up to run a counter-campaign. On top of that, I was ashamed that I allowed someone to mistreat me for so long and didn't feel the desire to tell everyone about it. Since that experience, I always look at the person making the loudest and most immediate accusations with a side-eye of doubt.
