People who’ve never ridden it serious don’t understand. This bike is as close to perfection you can get in a supermoto. Hands down the best bike I’ve ever ridden in the category. It’s legit sooooo wild, people who bought them were literally given a second parts bike because things were blowing up all the time in the motor.

THO it does need proper setting up.. especially if u wanna ride track with it; different fork, different fork clamps with steeper angle, shorter swingarm, better front brake caliper and pump, different mapping, different exhaust, etc etc

Used to watch the Red Bull supermoto and loved watching Chris Fillmore (I think) ride one of these. Shame about the reliability. I think in today's market this bike could be a winner. 2006 was till about about the repliracers with zero HP until 14000 rpm. I think a supermoto could probably be the most fun bike anyone can have. I've had a Falco and now a Touno V4. Aprilia just has so many great bikes, Shiver, Futura, Tuono 660, Mana, the list goes on and on.

Bro, whats the matter with your oil pressure warning light? Everytime you hit the throttle it's blinking. I havent noticed similar on my 450 xv but i think i should have an eye on it in the future.
That was the reason why the last years no sxv content was dropping. Did a full rebuild and now using higher oil pressure switch so don't get confused of the flashing on the newer videos

It was over 3k € including titanium retainers and other unusual rebuild parts. The most costly parts were the custom made main bearing shells and still don't trust them, luckily found rod shells. So if you ever see your oil pressure light flashing at hot idle with the standard 0.3bar sensor, rebuild the engine before it explodes 😁
Gibt es eigentlich irgend einen legalen Tuning auspuff für die svx? Ich hab bis jetzt noch keine gefunden, früher habe ich den dual arrow gesehen mit Abe, aber jetzt finde ich nichts mehr dazu 😑
yea just go for any ktm..i own sxv for 4 years now..I dumped more money in to rebuilds then i payed for bike..beautiful bike and it goes like hell but its a fucking money pit
You guys that look after this bike, I was like that to a few years ago, but it's a heavy maintenance machine, but than I found that Husaberg built an awesome machine too the FS650, with 65hp and lighter and better reliebiility than the sxv ;)
@@keldonator sadly yes! It’s a high performance engine crying for maintenance, care and oil changes ! Most of the SXV engines died before 10000km /6200miles A rebuild of the engine costs about 2,5 to 3 K it’s a beautiful and crazy designed machine but not for daily mileage use

@@Lookas_ ist ein Rennmotor bei dem, bedingt durch extremen Leichtbau, alles viel schneller Verschleißt. Lagerschalen an KW und Pleuel sibd meistens der Grund für Motorschäden, jedoch nicht immer die Ursache. Kleinste Mengen wasser im öl zb durch verzogene Köpfe, Kopfdichtungen und simmerringe radieren dir die Lagerschalen runter, danach reißt dirs Pleuel ab. Im übrigen stellt aprilia seit letztem jahr zudem keine Ersatzteile mehr her weshalb alles unglaublich teuer angefertigt werden muss, zb Lagerschalen.

Getting parts is so bad that you are thinking twice if you go for a ride. I hope one day i will be able to build everything myself out of billet block 😅 If you want to ride go with a bike that has a functional spare parts shop

Total around 10.000km with 4 rebuilds but caused of bad maintenance from the pre owner, had warped cylinder heads...
