What does a Technology Consultant do? (Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, McKinsey & Company)

  • What does a technology consultant ACTUALLY do? In this video I go through the responsibilities of my specific role as a BA (technical BA these days!) in a tech consulting team.
    I mentioned in the video that the role is super fluid which is something I'm really grateful to have-so this video might change in a years time (kinda excited to refilm ngl). If you're a tech consultant, let me know what you do!!
    *I haven't really delved into a delivery/super technical role in this video as that's simply not my experience - it doesn't mean that software developers, testers and other roles don't have space here!!

    Haha, really good communication skills.
    Yes, communication skills are almost never good enough.
    It's my belief that most anger and fights are caused by insufficiently good talking, writing and or listening/remembering.
    Document everything or it never existed and you're in trouble.

      Most do! A lot of different titles float around. For my role, ‘business analyst’ was a common one!

    For sure, Jira is pronounced "Jee ra"
    It was named after the Japanese pronunciation of Godzilla
    Gojira ゴジラ

      haha, we are using jira, and i pronounce it as jay-ra at work and nobody cares.
