Thanks man! I did all my processing in logic, not exactly sure what EQ settings I had. Probably a cut around 500Hz and a small boost around 100. I also parallel processed it with some distortion to give some grit like on the original recording.
Thank you! Yes I’m tuned down a half step. A lot of gospel players do that because a lot of gospel songs are in keys like Ab, Db, Eb, etc. Makes it easier to play
@@BraedenMyers Why the "...I believe"?? Matt Ramsey is the reason you and everyone else is looking at this video/post, not Kirk Franklin. Just sayin'- give the man full props, erase any doubt!! IT'S MATT RAMSEY. Otherwise, GREAT job! 👍👏
@@BraedenMyers Thanks for answering my question. I received a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface for a gift and I'm clueless on what to do with it. 😳 Hopefully I will be able to use it like you are using your Logic vey soon.
Sure! Went through an 8x10 simulated amp in Logic, boosted around 60 and 900Hz. Compression. Most of my tone though is coming from the parallel processing I did. I sent it to logic’s stock distortion, made it pretty dirty, then blended that signal with the dry. Hope that helps!
lol this was so long ago but I believe I went directly into my interace, then amp sim and compression in logic. Then snuck in a little parallel distortion for that matt ramsey sound
drive.google.com/file/d/1tuZmFXM-8IuY8ZflTNXgTL96RBfQ9Aad/view?usp=sharing I highly reccommend learning by ear though. getting lost in sheet music means you're not using your ears

Pls, can you tell me how did you set the equalizer on your bass?
Thanks man!

@@BraedenMyers yeaaah!! okay thank you!
Amazing cover, question are you using a different tuning?
Thank you! Yes I’m tuned down a half step. A lot of gospel players do that because a lot of gospel songs are in keys like Ab, Db, Eb, etc. Makes it easier to play
Good brother
thank you!

Matt Ramsey is the bassist on this version I believe

IT'S MATT RAMSEY.
Otherwise, GREAT job! 👍👏
What is your setup/equipment that you are using to able to play along with this song? You nailed this song 👏🏾👏🏾😁
Thank you! I use Logic for all my audio recording. I have the song as an mp3 in the session so I’m able to record along with it

And where can I get that sheet music?
Hi sir, can u spill how you set up your tone for this one? EQ reveal huhu pls

Try turning your gain down a touch. Other than that, very smooth!
Thanks!
how are you processing for that tone my man?
lol this was so long ago but I believe I went directly into my interace, then amp sim and compression in logic. Then snuck in a little parallel distortion for that matt ramsey sound
Could you bless me with the tablature for this version please🙏🏾

tune down? Half?
yes lots of gospel bass and guitar players will play in Eb standard
I think u overplayed it 😅❤
Do you have the sheet music or tab for this?
I do not, I’m sorry. I’m pretty sure someone else on TH-cam has sheet music though
🔥🔥
Can You share me the multitrack without the bassline?
I do not have a multitrack for this, sorry! I recorded over the original tiny desk recording
tutorial please
you're sight reading all that??????????
lol no not sight reading, I had practiced this for a couple days before recording, but I am reading as I'm playing because it's not memorized
