I have been a Newcastle supporter since I was 11 years old, but being from Northern Ireland, I didn't really know the Newcastle people and didn't get to see a game at St James' until I was 19 years old. When I finally got over to see a match, I was overwhelmed by the kindness of the Geordies. My Dad and I went into a pub after the match, and a few guys asked us if we were at the game. We told them that we were, and that we travelled from Northern Ireland to see Newcastle play, and they paid for our lunch and pints without us even knowing it! Such great people! It was the same after both 4-3 losses too. Both sets of fans came out of the games saying how great they were and just chatting amongst each other about different players and parts of the matches (they did have scouse kids trying to make money by "looking after your car" though...). Football seems to have gotten more hostile again over the last 10 years or so. I went to the Sunderland away game when we beat them 2-1 with O'Brien's freekick and I was sat amongst Newcastle and Sunderland fans with my back and white shirt on, then we walked back to our car afterwards amongst the Sunderland fans and there wasn't an ounce of bother. Hi Eddie, the likes of Brentford fans and those of other small clubs probably won't experience Newcastle fans at their best. The atmosphere at these types of game are always a bit flatter than against the likes of Manure, LiVARpool and Blunderland unless it's near the end of the season and we are in with a shout of something. I think there is also an expectancy that we will win these games whereas against the septic 6 the fans know the team needs that extra lift.

You can all say youre the loyal fans when it’s going well of course. What will happen if you have a winless run…. How many of you will be shouting to sack Howe because of all the money you have and you desperately want to spend it. Remember where Howe took you from. We literally don’t have a choice but to put the away fans there, we’re the only club that is exempt from the pitch side rule as the league didn’t deem any pitch side locations suitable

I agree but it’s easier said than done due to the design of the stadium, which is why the club has dispensation.
If we rebuild the East stand, that may change 👍🏻

Have to say I came across this and subscribed straight away, probably one of the best along with West Ham.
I have lots of great Geordie mates from my days in the army, also meet up with lots of Geordies who I have got to know over the years whenever I come up to St James Park or whenever you come down to Selhurst Park, to play my beloved Crystal Palace.
I am led to believe that lots of Geordies and Palace fans are mates through England games, home and away. Definitely see the friendship before games in the respective pubs, either down in South London or Newcastle.
Keep up the good work with your great vlogs.

Y'alreet, came looking but didn't manage to see yee again but will keep lookin! Crackin game, that fella is right about up there in the rafters the away supporters are kept at a distance but considering the colour of their shirts a good atmosphere. We have always been Toon mental, the Saudi money is a bonus but just getting rid of Cashley would have made us smile again, every supporter regardless of chat would want this injection of big cash!! take it from me as a Fulham fan, every one of those Brentford supporters in this film had a Community Nurse with them - they are not allowed to travel alone -- -it's a shame, I know - -incidentally, the best team in the north east isn't Mr Big Head Newcastle, but the mighty Crook Town.

    You're not a big club.
No competition only one team in Newcastle and that's Newcastle utd so not hard to get decent support.
    No major trophies
    No champions League
If you had another premier League team in Newcastle your support would be about 20 odd thousand.

I don’t think it’s too bad up the top. Away fans always complain about where they are but there’s more home fans sit up there than away fans!
I really don’t mind it. My season ticket isn’t up there but I’ve sat up there loads and think it’s fine. I’ve sat near the top of the Nou Camp for anyone banging on about being up in the gods!
