I watched this live on just dirt production and seen Jesse hot out ran by dirt daddy running the 602 and dd didn't go a lap down.... that 24 was in cruise control all race..... congrats on the new addition to the HTF FAMILY 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSEPH🎂🏁🏁, my Daughter’s Birthday is the 12th , also CONGRATULATIONS on the Big News, you guys will make great Parents, you have such a wonderful family and you all seek to put God First in your life’s .
Good job Jesse. Just keep getting better. Congratulations Joseph and Kayla. Happy Birthday Joseph Another good video, keep them coming. Have a good day.
Joseph and Kayla congrats! This was so funny when Joseph said there were 3 leaves still on the car and Jesse needed to go faster. Good to see Dirt Daddy make a cameo. Nice video lots of fun😂
Congratulations Kayla and Joseph. There’s nothing better than being a dad. I have a 14 yr old daughter that I’ve raised by myself and man it’s been fun. Enjoy every minute. Now Jesse stay in the car bro! The more you drive the better you can be. I was an athlete growing up & I trained From age 4 to be the best football, baseball, boxer, and Superbike racer there was. I got a scholarship from UGA for football and baseball. I tore my knee up and had to go a different route. I spent 15 years in the military & every selection process I went through trained me to be better. I couldn’t have just walked out and learned how to do what I did. So Brandon Carpenter, I’m not bad mouthing anyone, it’s not how I am. if things come easy to you then congratulations. I was a natural at some sports but I still busted my ass to be the best. Not everyone can hop in a racecar or be anything they want to without practice. Jesse is getting better so that shows he’s learning how to drive. I’ve taken my friends late model out at Dixie and Rome when I was younger, in my 20’s, I’m 36 now, it was during hot laps. I’ve never raced on dirt. They were dying laughing when I came back to the trailer. I thought I did good but the only thing I did good was not wrecking his car. I probably turned slower laps than the street stock. So go easy on him. I’ve never seen a track with a hole that’s out of 1-2 that’s like a ramp. Keep hammering down. Good luck, Hunt the Front and Jesus does live!,
One of them there learning days. Don't worry Jesse, you're still in the 'getting all the seat time you can' phase of your career. Loading the the car on the trailer with nothing to fix is still a good night at this stage of things.
Funny everyone in the comments are so hard on Jesse when half of you would t even attempt to jump in a car or have you ever he is new to this and y’all judge him like my man been racing for years chill out how to y’all expect him to really get better when is isn’t consistently in the car every few months won’t cut it for a driver trying to learn
sixwillwin I agree but didn’t charge the fact people in the comments saying how he didn’t deserve to be on that car or that he should be kicked out the car I’m speaking to that criticism is needed but some things are ignorant and or cross a line
@@Rheper. you have just learned that on a public forum, there are no boundries or "line" to cross. jonathon approves every comment on his youtube channel. it's part of youtube's protocol. "comments" and "likes" = $ for the creator. just ignore them like the rest of us do. cheers. 🏁
Big CONGRATS Joseph & Kayla, now you really get to know you're alive. There is a lucky child coming to these parents & their home, and, the polish can begin on their personal development like only parenthood can do.
Any way y’all could do a 3 min segment to explain the spotter sticks and how you use them? I race asphalt in OH, so I have no clue how to read em lol. Go HTF
I was in the pits and I saw first 1 stick pointing down... then 2 sticks... then 2 sticks plus a HTF crew waving both hands down and told my buddy, they wanting Jesse to "GET ON THE BOTTOMMM!" LOL
Hey guys. Congrats to Joseph and Kayla for the great news. I agree with what Joseph was saying about needing to update the car but I think alot of the problem is like everyone is saying jesse needs seat time. The hardest thing for me to learn was how to slow down and go fast!!. Keep up the great work guys.
I used to have the most problem IN MY HEAD on racedays (and the leadup week). The outside reflected the inside, too busy in my head, too busy on the controls, too unwilling to back off. After about 15 years I came across some mind control, and I reckon it cut my work in 4. Calm down your breathing as you pull your helmut on, and get into a routine of creating the best mindset for you to perform calmly while you have your helmut on. The helmut becomes a mental switch to a mindset, and with practice it will become automatic. Now, I've got to tell you, I'm aware that it often happens opposite, where a guy turns into a drama when he has a helmut on, but that is what can happen without awareness hey lol. YOU can deliberately be however you want with that helmut on, and you can choose for it to be a habbit. Focus on slowing down your breathing, and breath with your belly rather than your chest while you have free attention. I'm pretty sure you can see as well as I can from this footage that the car is not getting time to give you feedback, until its on 2 wheels, which can be fun... but not fast consistently. Your demands at the controls are 2 steps ahead, and you just ain't well calibrated enough to pull it off every lap. Calm down son and make friends with her. Let her show you how to get it done with less corrections and smoother transitions, the pedal on the right regulates power, not lap-speed, so don't use it to overload the tyres, use it to help reduce work at the wheel. Be calm grasshopper, you have the skill to go far haha. Things are so competitive nowadays that shock adjustment is important, but you need to feel what they are doing to know where to make changes. Assuming you run pos castor up front, when you rock the wheel in opposite lock you are sending load variations to the inside rear, which will make it hard to judge trajectory, and hard to settle the car. You have it all there Jesse, you just have to put it together right, but you are in good company there. Cheers from Australia.
I used to have the same problem with "happy hands". The best advice I was ever given was "eyes up". It looks like he is driving off of his nose instead of picking up his next mark and driving to it. Things will definitely smooth out looking farther ahead.
Good advice.....Plus will make Jesse more aware of potential upcoming wrecks to avoid.....The car looks good sliding from the outside so I say do what you want to do......Your hands will slow down when they are ready to slow down.....For now, judge by results and how the car looks (sliding), not your hands. Pretty good so far I'd say!!.....Maybe ask Jonathan to place the inboard camera on the rear end and have no driver cam for a while. Get the commenters off your back....Looking ahead to where you want to go (hit your marks) I think is the answer......My high school friends used to practice speedway out on dry lake beds in the desert of S Calif......Nothing to hit.....Any open areas in Florida to practice all the different variations of braking timing, when to get on the gas, etc?.....I''ve seen Bloomquist stay off the gas for a solid 2 seconds before getting back on it, lap after lap, and win the race. Also seen others wide open and not letting off the gas in bullring type tracks and do well.....Lots of variations with timing and technique to learn depending on track conditions and layout.
Congratulations to Joseph and his wonderful wife can’t wait for the day we all get to meet the little one ☝️ and a very happy birthday Jesse looked good just need more seat time
