In this video, I will walk you through how to use SciSpace and their new AI research assistant copilot. You can find research articles through their search bar or upload pdfs to their site. Then, we jump into CoPilot which is an AI research assistant and honestly one of the best that I have seen!
CoPilot can share research article summaries, research article limitations, what is unique about this article, and the key takeaways of this article. Then, you can ask specific questions like if you do not know what a word in a research article is.
Finally, CoPilot can explain research articles to you in plain English which is a massive game changer.

Thank you for this! Having used it for a few days i have found out that Scispace is multilingual it can translate answers into 8 languages , just click under en, you can also get explanations for diagrams and maths equations, and you can also do follow up question on the answers you get. Wish i had this resource in my academic days.
Yep! I only know english so i dont use the other languages. I really wish i had these tools when i was in grad school too!
Great tool and great content. Many thanks to you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your video. Very nicely explained. I particularly like the way you directed questions to SciSpace. It helps us formulate our own research questions. 🤗
Yay! I am so glad it was helpful! Also, they have a chrome extension that you can now use anywhere on Chrome. I had a video on it that came out today!
This is great..
Thank you
Glad you like it!
I liked all your videos + subscribed, too!
I am so glad they were helpful! :)
I know a bit of a broad question but out of Scholarcy & CoPilot - Main goal is to summarise research whilst aiding in understanding of results/statistical analysis (methods). Which one would you recommend out of the two?
P.S. Thank you for the content you create and share
thank you so much for your help:)
So helpful indeed !
Glad it was helpful!
thak you !!! this skill es facinating wow
Thank you for sharing.
I’m following you 😅
hi please could you do a video on how to use co pilot along side lateral as I like both but find it time consuming saving each paper downloading to laptop then saving etc I am wondering if there is a quick way to combine both throughout research without always having to download or any other tools that have all the features of these two in one. thankyou for all your content which I find very helpful
Thanks so much for this video. Hearing from people, such as yourself, who use their own work to evaluate SciSpace is very valuable since you're the best person to determine if it's answering correctly. It's my understanding that you can highlight a chart or graph and ask the program to explain that as well as text. Have you tried that? Does it work well in your opinion?
Hi! Everytime I try the highlight chart or equation, it doesn't seem to pull up for me. It may just be the articles I have been trying it on though.
Hey Alana and Gary, to get an explanation and deeper understanding of the equations and tables, you need to use the "Clip Math & Tables" feature (placed at the bottom of the Copilot panel and snip out the image of the equation or table you want to decode from the paper; Copilot will explain it for you. And you can ask follow-up questions on the same. Hope this helps :)
Very interesting, thanks! Is there no way to pull out "3 min summary" (like on 00:58) from the loaded paper? Is seems that summaries that co-pilot gives on request are too short and less informative comparing to this "3 min summary" demonstrated in the video.
Thanks
Glad it helped!
can this software assist in literature reviews?
it is an exciting app but it is not working in my country! Do you have any suggestions for signing up for this app? I love all your presentation and Thank you!!

Is copilot work rather than sci space ? Means to say is it work on ther articles or journals if we don't use sci-space ?
Does it have any premium plan?
Thanks for the good content. Quick question...what happens to the pdf after you upload it? Does it just get added to the public library for everyone to access or is it only available to you ?
I am not entirely sure. You would have to check with SciSpace for that.
You could download the terms and conditions, print them as a pdf and upload it to a chat pdf and ask yourself

Hi, Alana thank you for your valuable videos!! Question: will it be considered PLAGIARISM if I copy and paste the answers from Scispace with citations?
Hi! I think that right now journals and universities are redefining plagiarism with AI. Many are no longer accepting AI written works. However, more importantly, is that if you are copying and pasting from any AI your writing will suffer. The AI doesn't know the story or argument you are making with your writing. Use the AI to understand a summary or answer to a question and then write it naturally as it fits into your story.
@@SciGradCoach Thank you for your swift reply!
Does it have any premium plan or its completely free?
Copilot or Wordtune? what you suggest for better efficiency in your case?
I would use CoPilot them differently.
I would use CoPilot when I am broad in the field. Or if I am reading a paper as more of a beginner.
I would use Wordtune instead when I am going deep into a paper and want to pull out specific information.
Not working for me? I am logged with my account but yet I dont see the buttons you show (as the 3 minutes summarize and so on)
A video with Jenni Ai please
I love your video.❤️❤️❤️
Need more effective AI website please.. I want to contact with you...
Is this better than CHat GPT and Writetune? ChatGTP always gives wrong references
Can you explain why references atte so important for students ? And what references actually are ?
I think refernces are very imporatnt for every one who is writing at least some academic content. It is so becasue, it add more validity, reliability to the content. If a student writes something by synthesizing some material from somewhere than the reference given by that stduent in his/her writing will let the readers know the orginal source of knowledge as well as it also shows that the writer has given some credit to the people who have already done some work in the field what you are looking for. Moreover, it also shows that the writer has done some previous studies investigation and than come up with this.
@@rajanvk939 but how can we put up so many references in answers while writing for civil exam ?
Can we summarize bunch of research papers in single chat?
Yes, using the new literature review tool you can add multiple papers and chat about all of them at once. Here is a video on using that tool.

Awesome, the only problem is to keep up with your pace! Lol
I will try to slow down. I always feel like I'm going too slow.
actually meant, actually done, actual article, like solutions, like how will it be used, specifically, specific examples, specific word, specific questions, specifically waving arms 🙄
