Devs confirmed themselves on reddit that Heavy ammo does NOT have any extra slow effects, all ammo types slow the same
Yeah, it's weird that so long since that was confirmed, the myth still prevails :D
@Jake Hewitt the DEVs confirmed it. Specifically Sean slaybach (lead designer) has tweeted all weapon types are equal in slowing people.
It's even been tested in game by various TH-camrs/streamers including "the gaming merchant."
You do know that heavy ammo does have that effect because the tubby legends don't get effected by the stun that it gives.

I'd like to see them add a feature that if you kit out a gun to the point that it would be a gold gun (like the Prowler in this video) it actually changes it to a gold gun so that if someone else kills you they can swap to that gun already fully kitted instead of having to swap guns and attach each attachment one by one. But can still swap out an attachment afterward if you don't like the "Gold" option for that gun. (for example: if you grab someones Gold Scout, you can swap to a 2x sight instead of the 2-4x)

Favorite close range gun in this game. If you can find both , select fire & prowler it’s nuts
but in close range vs a r9,if enemie is a good player you will be fried thats why i rather use my r9
Abbas Mostafavi I use both, r9 with a 1x for close, Prowler with a Bruiser for range, because it has little to no recoil
Love the select fire on the Prowler. Reminds me of the ak74u rapid fire from BO1 in terms of fire rate and feel.

if you didn't know the prowler with 35 rounds full auto does around a total of 745 damage if you hit all headshots, and for body shots i've only been able to get a max of 450-500 damage

Burst mode does a higher dps and idk I think the prowler is a really good secondary weapon pared with the r99 cuz you shoot someone with the r9 and if you use a mag and not kill the guy just swap to the prowler and one or 2 bursts should do the job

They added a new thing in the settings that you can change the cursor speed for menus, death boxes, etc. I'm not sure where it is, I'd look through the "controller" settings tab.

I've known about the slowing effect of heavy ammo since S1, that's why I have always preferred the Prowler to the R99. The burst fire is powerful af. Close to the same damage as the Hemlock.
It's a myth dude. All ammo types give the slowing effect. Devs confirmed it themselves on Twitter in May
Every ammo type will slow enemies down unless you gibby or caustic. Heavy ammo has no extra slowing effect. This was a myth that was debunked by weapons designer of respawn hiself months ago.

I love how the heavy weapons slow the target a bit, I live the prowler been using it with select fire since it was in the game the only thing I hate is without select fire the recoil is a lot worse and for someone like me who has bad accuracy that's a big deal

Ive been trying to tell people this. Prowler with a select fire and a purple clip is WAY better than the r99. Prowler/peacekeeper prowler/hemlok or prowler/charge rifle is what i always try to rock.
