I was so lost in the sauce, that I didn't even realize I was grinning from ear to ear until the end of the video. Hard to believe they are close to 60 YEARS rockin' out' Dee Purple forever!
I can remember when the Purple were the old guys coming back in 1984 to show all the young whippersnappers how it's done. That was what 40 years ago and they're still showing all the young whippersnappers how it's done. Truly remarkable.
Going to see them September 7th. This album is really good. New guitar player and excellent veteran keyboard player Don Airey. Don has played with many classic and hard rock bands.
I’m seeing deep purple and yes September 1 at jones beach amphitheater on Long Island New York..3 of the legendary mk2 lineup of Ian Gillan on vocals Roger glover on bass and the great Ian paice on drums with don airy on keyboard on the great Simon McBride the baby in the band..Ian Gillan recently turned 79.
Purple are always on the road, never stop touring (except when Covid put everyone off the road for a couple of years). They recently finished a European tour, currently in North America, then to South America, back to Europe again and the UK before the end of the year. Anyway..... Their recently released new album ‘= 1’ (equals one), is their 23rd studio album. *Ian Paice, drums - age 76, since 1968 *Ian Gillan, vocals - age 79, since 1969 *Roger Glover, bass - age 78, since 1969 *Don Airey, Hammond organ - age 76, since 2002 - (Don replaced the late Jon Lord when he retired in 2002) *Simon McBride, guitar - age 45, since 2022 - (Simon replaced Steve Morse when he left the band to look after his wife who had terminal cancer, she recently passed away. Morse was in the band for 28 years, from 1994-2022, much longer than Blackmore who quit mid tour in 1993) After 56 years Purple is still making and playing good solid rock n roll. Cheers,
How can you not like these old guys I was very young and so were they when they came out I'm 70 years old and they're older than me and still doing it and they're not too bad as you say
Travis & Suzi Out of the classic lineups of DP, only 3 original of Mark II lineup: Ian Gillan, singer, Roger Glover, bassist, and Ian Paice, drummer continued on making new music. Their former bandmate and founder, Ritchie Blackmore continue his solo career.
Mate, when you say “only three from MkII”, that’s actually three of five from 1969, which is still very impressive. If you look at their surviving contemporaries from the 60s and early 70s, not many of them are complete, or anywhere near complete (most don’t even exist anymore). The Stones, it’s only Jagger and Richards, Uriah Heep only Mick Box, Yes (who are touring the US with Purple), only have Steve Howe from the early days, Status Quo only has Francis Rossi, these are just a few examples. Anyway... Three from 1969, plus Don Airey from 2002, and the new guy Simon McBride from 2022, is still pretty impressive. Cheers,
Saw them in 2004.... always on the road, always making good albums indeed... i saw the group with Steve Morse at guitar, not the new guy, who visibly does good stuff. The only thing, as far as live is concerned, is that Ian Gillian as voice problems. Quite normal as you see how old they all are, and they still give many lives. Btw the keyb man is Don Airey, ex Black Sabbath. Full respect to the group!!!
That whole album is awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍
Saw them a week ago. Totally amazing
Good Stuff . It's insane the keyboard solo . The legacy of Jon Lord is honored
Ian Paice the drummer is the only constant member and has played on every album since 1968! What a band
....and on every concert....when he was sick (very rarely, they cancelled the show)....what a fantastic drummer and what a nice guy....

I really like the direction they took with this new album. My boys are still rockin!
I 💜 Deep Purple
The guy on the keys is Don Airey, the only man who could possibly take the late Jon Lord's place in the band.
Going to see them September 7th. This album is really good. New guitar player and excellent veteran keyboard player Don Airey. Don has played with many classic and hard rock bands.
Guys... the entire new album is a banger! Dive in.. T
By the way, Ian Gillan (singer) is 79 years old and still great, still amazing!
Ian Paice is 76. Great to see him drumming after his mini stroke 8 years after his mini stroke.
Great reaction and a great song. It's hard to believe that apart from the guitar player they are all between 76 an 79 years old.
Mis maravillosos y queridos viejos de Deep Purple... leyendas vivientes!!
Gracias, linda reacción ❤

Anybody this old that can put a record out like this it's still rocks and the guitar playing is fantastic
The old guys still rockin'. Thanks for reacting 👏🤘
Deep Purple sure know how to pick their musicians. Simon McBride is another great guitarist for Deep Purple.

I would love to go to Ian's funeral someday cuz he'll still be singing the guy just loves to sing
Keyboard sounds like KANSAS... Keyboard also similar to the Animals.. house of the Rising Sun... Forget the name of keyboard type. It's unique...
Hammond organ. B3 model
Keyboard sounds like PURPLE 😊
