I can’t thank you enough for making this video. The appliance repair company wanted to charge me $500 for parts and labor to fix this. I found the part online for $98 and changed it myself in under 30 minutes.
i did as well an 8 years gallery dishwasher needed a new motor, replace in under 30 minutes by myself....great video!
@@SuperBooboo02 Nice work! My repair job is still solid 10 months later.
500?
May as well buy a new machine at that point
@@bobshanery5152 That’s what I said!
@@SuperBooboo02 did you use the grease as shown in the video?
So so helpful!! Just replaced this exact part on my Frigidaire dishwasher thanks to this video. Thanks so much.
Great video. My install had enough extra hose on the water supply that I didn't have to remove that one. I unhooked the power and drain, slid it forward enough that I could tilt it back 45 degrees and had enough room to swap out the part.
Great job!
I removed the circulation pump & motor from my Fridigaire dishwasher. I sprayed electric parts cleaner into the vent holes. Black carbon came out. Even though the shaft would spin easily, I concluded that excessive heat had killed the pump. The inlet valve works properly. I've ordered a replacement pump & motor.
After doing some research on my own, it's called an EC-3 or EC-5 connector. Most notably used for Lipo battery harness. Which is it for this motor?
I have a Frigidaire model and the spray arms don’t move at all when it runs. Is this low water pressure causing this because of faulty motor or pump and do I need to replace or can pump be repaired in this case ??
Thanks! Great video
Thanks for diy big help to us awesome 👌 keep on.
Align what notch in the pump? Sure would help if you showed us. After 20 minutes of struggle I found the notch on the backside of the pump.
Thank you for the excellent information.
i replaced drain pump and still no drain.. does a circulation pump help with that process?
this is not a drain pump...its a circulation pump for water pressure..it has nothing to do with draining issues
As always, awesome video! Thank you
Is this the same part for FGHD2433KF1?

My Frigidaire dishwasher is getting water in, but I hear a click that would normally result in water circulation that never happens. I can advance the cycle and drain the dishwasher as well. The spray nozzles are clear and glass particles were removed from the filter. I need to troubleshoot a couple of things....
1. Is the float switch shutting the water supply off prematurely because the water level is not above the heating element when I open the door to check
2. Is the circulation pump defective or does it obstructed by debris? Where is it located and is there a video on the procedures?
Any help greatly appreciated because our new dishwasher won't be here for 4 months!!!!!!

A lot of unnecessary steps. Just unplug it at the outlet, turn off water supply, remove any screws securing it and pull out far enough to tilt it over. No need to disconnect the drain hose. Do not re-use the old gaskets. A replace, ent pump should come with replacements.
@MrRdparri Based on my experience, it would be wise to obtain the o-ring before installing. While the old o-ring may look ok I can guarantee it’s stretched out and will not seal.
Where can one buy the o rings? And how will we know the size before taking it apart?
@@michelalex7069 Front O-Ring part number is 154247001. Rear O-Ring is 154246901. Both P/N are Frigidaire. Use the following process to find any P/N: info is key - search the model number via the internet. Should come across a few sites that show a picture diagram of the part along with a reference to the part number. I hope this helps.
ive got same style circ pump on my frigidaire dishwasher..its leaking water at the bottom area that has the open slots on the pump...i took pump off and there was a small kids toy inside the impeller area...i took toy out and reinstalled but its now leaking intermittently from same slots..and when its leaking the motor doesnt sound the same ...my theory is the toy jammed the blade and the motor spline teeth basically reamed the plastic impeller hole and now it takes very little resistance the the motor would spin without impeller turning...this builds up too much pressure and pulls the spring loaded washer away from the shaft and then leaks out the assembly....does this sound logical?
why would I pay greater than 200$ for a part?
I just replaced my circulation pump motor but now the tub is not draining - there is still standing water after every cycle. HELP!
circulation pump has nothing to do with draining...you need to look at the drain pump.
Wow, they didn't even give new gaskets ... Mine leak
Note… do not install the new pump upside down or your top 3:44 will not operate
Good video. Unfortunately the replacement motors that all these online sellers are providing are all the same and they are all horrible underpowered junk. The replacement parts are not the same quality of the original part. In many cases, the replacement parts are modified so that they will "work" with a broader number of models than the original part would work with. This means compromises in design and this means poor performance. My dishwasher is one of the 36" portable models that you have to hook up and plug in. It now barely sprays with enough force of water to get anything clean. Terribly frustrating to live with, but I don't want to buy a foreign factory design. Frigidaire no longer makes the large portable models so I'm screwed.
Not my dishwasher...
the new models 2426 2413 2418 the motor is stuck brand new from the box Dont buy those model they change the motor from older version now is all plastic cheap alld this models have the same motor I am appliances installer and all of this model is the same
Omg our Frigidaire has been horrible, noisy, ineffective right out of the box. We had motor replaced under warranty once, it was still noisy but COVID, so we dealt with it. Now we have dripping from the motor. Such horrible quality!
