Went with powered speakers, what a joke. No powered speakers out there can compete with old school systems. I'm considering buying the peavey blk widow sp4 tops again with 1 matching sub. Car subs and Pa subs are not the same. Different design for different uses. Also, if you put car subs outside they wont be as loud as Pa subs; they don't have gain they get from being inside a small space.
Ok, it's time to ask the experts ! I have a Peavey 1600 with DSP Power Amp P.A (crossover, equalizer, compressor, and more built in) I also have a PEAVEY 3000 Power Amp P.A. My question is do I add the 1600 Peavey pre or post to the 3000 Peavey ?
U don’t run it from the other amp unless it has a thru output which most amps don’t. But if your amp has input and thru, then run your input from your mixer to the amp and the thru out to your other amp, but don’t ever run an output (to speaker) into another amp, NEVER! Most of the time, You run from your mixer to both amps. So maybe a main to your tops and monitors to the subs, main mix to one amp and monitor mix to the other amp. If you have multiple outputs from the amp, then run it thru those. Some mixers have 4 outputs, but most just have 2 mains and 2 monitors, and I’d run each to each amp.

Yea the box im using them with is actually pretty big and im using 40hz lr24 to 100hz lr24 crossover on them

Those peavey basses feel strong outdoor basses, I've thought about buying a pair, but the comments I've heard have led me to doubt.
