I usually close my eyes and imagine the animal I want to draw with scribbles and just.. scribble! Then, when I’m done, I take my time to make them scribbles look like the actual animal. It’s very easy if you have some imagination!

I saw some Indonesian guy do everything you did without sketching and using only one type of ballpoint and it was absolute fire
I use uni pin or micron fine line pens of different sizes. Thinner ones for light shadows and thicker ones for dark shadows.

This is usually what my work looks like after I'm finished with a piece that took me 2 days to complete and my daughter finds the pencil next to the sketch book lmao, and I can never be mad at her because it was my fault

yes po any pencil... depende din kung gaano kadark yung reference, you can use higher than 2b 😊... just make sure na matulis para swak pa den sa scribbling style😊
