Greetings from New Zealand,, thank you for putting up these videos, being stuck in our country these really lift the spirits and allow me to virtually travel.
Thank you Prowalk. Great video as always this time in the beautiful city of Ragusa. This is a must for anyone who has seen the Il commissario Montalbano series
I'm from Ragusa, but I have only a little punctualization: that one is called "Ragusa Ibla" and is the old part of Ragusa, rebuilt after a earthquake in 1600. The new one, that's the most lived and the real "Ragusa" starts from were you started your trip, going higher. In fact, the city centre is around one hundred meters from the stars to go to ibla. I hope you will like that punctualization, although that good video, is fantastic when someone do something like that
Ciao Enrico, I actually started the tour at the Cattedrale di San Giovanni Battista and then walked down to the steps but I didn't think it was a strong enough intro. I can rename the video Ragusa Ibla possibly. Glad you enjoyed it though. Thanks for the feedback.
Hi Isaac. Looks like a very old part of Sicily. That mural at approx 11:00 was sort of strange, but well done. Your intro map was good, i don't think i have noticed those before. Ciao. Enjoy. Grazie
Wow, this video looks epic! I just scrolled through it on my phone and definitely am going to put it up on my television in my living room right now to really soak it all in. Man I really hope that I can visit Italy one day, it is more than beautiful there! Greetings from your friend here in New York City, can't wait for your next upload and I hope you're having a nice weekend!
Last year this time we were in lock down. I was watching your another city of Sicily walking tour, today Melbourne is same in lock down. I am watching ur Sicily walking tour again. Just could not believe that Melbourne is still in the same situation !! Thanks ur video. Felt relaxed and a beatiful city . 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Hey, thanks! Yeah, there is plenty of parking. I was parked in the upper (new) town and walked down to the old town, but there are a couple parking areas near the old town too.
Great tour. Loved it. But, I believe that you started the tour in Ragusa Superiore, walked down the stairs, crossed the valley, and went up to Ragusa Ibla. The Duomo di San Georgio is in Ragus Ibla.
Hey, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, that's correct. I started filming at the Cattedrale di San Giovanni Battista and walked down the roads toward the steps but that was a bit of a slow beginning so I started the video at the top of the steps.
Hey Michael, yeah, I can probably do that. Need to wait for things to cool down a bit here in Italy. There are a lot of possible hikes here. Do you watch them while on your treadmill? What part of the hike videos do you like?
@@ProWalks I watch them at work and when I have company over. At work, they're great for the occasional mini distraction to keep me going. At home, with company, they are great conversation starters and keep the kids from going crazy in the living room. They'll sit and watch for a few minutes for a break but don't stay glued to the TV.
Last time we had company over, I had the tour of Paris running and we would occasionally read out loud one of the captions that was interesting and we would talk about it for a few minutes.
Grazie❤️ 👍
Thanks so much! I'm glad you are enjoying the tours. I try to film the places that I enjoy and so hopefully you feel that in the video. Thanks for watching.
Amazing tour yet Ragusa looks like a ghost town. What was the main source of income that built Ragusa in 2000BC? What type of alligance with Camerina created this town?
This was filmed in the summer of 2020 when people were not traveling. We were not on lockdown at the time so I was able to drive down to Sicily no problem and tour all around.
The people are sleeping or hiding. I expected people to be hanging out the windows, kids playing in the streets and one yelling for Anthony to come eat his spaghetti. Just kidding
for years was fascinated with ragusa, not anymore now that ive seen it within, nothing there, narrow streets, too many stairs, doesnt seem like there is that many places to eat even.
The stunning city of Dubrovnik in modern day Croatia was also known as Ragusa and was a leading maritime power -the word "argosy" referring to a type of merchant ship comes from this word as the Croatian ragusans were top traders and merchants.
Love your videos but if there's an open door to any church or old building why can't you go in or at least put your camera in and let us take a peek inside. You did go in one on this video which was amazing!!! But you didn't go into St Joseph 😔 remember most of us will never see these places. Thanks
@@ProWalks The price of a good setup will be very high (fujifilm x-t4 + stabilization). Considering that when viewing from a phone, hardly anyone will see the difference.
It's not the price that's the problem. It's the weight and overheating. The camera, lens, and gimbal will weigh too much to carry for around for hours and the camera will overheat every 10-15 minutes of high bitrate 4K video outside in the sun. It's just not practical.
Yeah, you are right. I am sorry about that. TH-cam will automatically place ads in the video. I can remove them manually but apparently I never did on this one. I don't want a ton of ads in my videos. It is too distracting. Thanks for letting me know.

Love the walks in southern Italy! Thank you for introducing your viewers to these places! Also, enjoyed the music at the beginning.
you do an amazing job of this. i’ve seen your others and enjoy them all. thank you for taking all of the time putting the info in the CC. 🌸
Hey, You are very welcome. Thanks! It's been a lot or work but I enjoy it and it is really nice to know others enjoy the videos.
I am really happy to see that many, many of you appreciate my city, my home. I really hope you come or come back to visit us. greetings from Ragusa.
Alessandro, is Agrusa a common name in Ragusa? Just curious that the letters are the same, just transposed.
Great! I thought maybe all the Sicily walks had been uploaded. It's great to be back. Your Sicily walks and rides are some of my favourites. Thanks!
Awesome. My father’s family came from Sicily after WW1.
Thank you for lovely video 😍. I'm from Vietnam with love!
Thanks. Your tours are outstanding. And I learn a bunch!
This is as soothing as watching Bob Ross paint! Enjoy so much.
Excepting the life threatening traffic, of course.
meraviglia! la citta meravigliosa incantevole!
Thank you Prowalk. Great video as always this time in the beautiful city of Ragusa. This is a must for anyone who has seen the Il commissario Montalbano series
It was an interesting town. I road my bike around the upper Ragusa part of town. I wonder if it is more busy during a normal non-pandemic summer.

Just imagine all the great food you could eat if you lived in Ragusa or anywhere else in Sicily.

Another care full walk. Thank you.
El comisario Montalbano!!
73,000 inhabitants? But where are they? Abducted by aliens? This video is like a very weird dream.
Brings back memories . Thks

Well, I was there in the middle of the week in the summer of 2020 when tourism was at a low because of covid.
It looks hot. It's hot at my house as well. It's too darn hot! I'll switch to another video for now, maybe the Swiss Alps in Winter or Norway.
OK, it's a little cooler today, so now I'm watching the rest of it. Honestly, the tripe dish sounds pretty bad. I guess I'll have to try it, though.
I can only wish you a better camera than GoPro 8
Yeah, I know. It's not exactly a matter of just getting a better camera. I would if there was a good solution but there really isn't.

Is not the same thing. with bt709 i get false colors
The city was named Ragusa to insult the American fashion science. they weren't wrong.
The introductory sound track is ugly and irrelevant. Don’t spoil your work with that kind of nonsense.
Well, it doesn't last that long and can be muted easily enough. It's hard to choose fitting music.
