it's interesting how the BBC folks keep asking them about their commercial success or their popularity as though that SHOULD be their goal, perhaps because it would be for the interviewers. But it's not. They do it for the music and they go where that journey takes them. I think that's awesome.
Fabulous ordinary people, with their feet on the ground, who make extraordinarily beautiful music together. Hannah's voice is wonderful. So pure with an amazing range.

Shows a linear trend between mindset and intelligence and music quality increase as the other does. I'm kinda stuck in between liking a humble-talent,and a talent that slags off the garbage. Which is better?! Do the floyd blur the lines by crossing the boarder?? Pretty existential, I know.....
You have to understand you're talking about two completely different generations and time periods. Pink Floyd didnt have the kind of media exposer like London Grammar does. Floyd had to work twice as hard to get to the popularity that London Grammar has in the short time they have been a band. It's not to say though that London didnt have to work hard to get to where they are. At least they chose not to expose themselves to TV entertainment that could have launched them to overnight sensation. And Floyd was during a time of oppression so their tone was reflecting how they felt about the time. But I think your conflict choosing between the two bands characters is like comparing night to day. IMHO they arent even related.
