भारत के वैश्विक सम्मेलन रायसीना डायलॉग में हिंद-प्रशांत अवधारणा पर रुस ने सवाल खड़े किये । रूस के विदेश मंत्री सर्गेई लावरोव ने कहा कि नई अवधारणा लाने की कोशिश मौजूदा संरचना में व्यवधान डालने और चीन को किनारे करने का प्रयास है। लावरोव ने हिंद-प्रशांत अवधारणा पर कहा कि अमेरिका, जापान और अन्य देशों की ओर से की जा रही नई हिंद-प्रशांत अवधारणा लाने की कोशिश मौजूदा संरचना को नया आकार देने का प्रयास है। हालाकि रूसी विदेश मंत्री ने कहा कि हम भारत की स्थिति का समर्थन करते हैं। हिंद-प्रशांत पिछले कुछ वर्षों में भारत की विदेश नीति का प्रमुख केन्द्र रहा है और भारत हमेशा से इस क्षेत्र में शांति और स्थिरता को बढ़ावा देता रहा है।

From past few years, the term 'Indo-pacific' is very frequently used by some country specialy by those country who want to counter china, does it mean that india's power in asia-pacific region is really grown up or india is being just used by those country who want to counter china for sake of their own interest?

As swarn singh sir said(9:35) that india try to differentiate these two i.e QUAD and indo-pacific. But i dont think that these two can be differentiated because as country started using indo-pacific instead of asia-pacific, it means that between two giant country of asia you are choosing one by saying indo-pacific and it also itself reflects that it is against the interest of china because this word some how diminishes the power of china in this region and also the formation of QUAD has the same motto i.e to counter china. So i think behind the formation of indo-pacific and QUAD has the same motto.
