Joe Willard same here, I turned 30 this year and Trapt was one of the bands to bring me over to this music. I use to only listen to grunge/punk mainly, besides a bit of Green day, drowning pool or disturbed.
I'm 32 now and just figured out what I want to do with my life. I've been afraid to leave my comfort zone trying to be successful in my own bubble BUT not anymore I've crossed the line and there's no going back now failing forward is the only way until I succeed....gotta leave my past behind & become a better version of myself.
The best thing as far as I know is that we can make sure we use the best of our time for good deeds because that's all what truly remains. Trapt is awesome as are you
so many memories...its nice to see i share these feelings with alot of you. this takes me back to being 13-14 years old...man teenage life..those were the years..
Joe Willard just be careful not to end up always living in the past: "oh, the teenage years were the best! oh, the twenties were the best! oh, the thirties were the best!" etc. :P
The high school memories, playing wow, driving alone at night, working until close listening to this... im glad to see these guys are still around. And im glad to have trapt as part of my generation.
Devilsnevercry43 So glad to see that so many of you guys share similar memories with these guys as well! It truly was a better time, in my opinion! Much simpler times, no doubt...
I've seen these guys twice within the last year, and both times they completely blew me away. I've been a fan for 13 years, and they continue to amaze me with their music.
Coming back to this album, 15 years after I used to rock out to it on my way to work when I was 20. The songs all hit very differently.. It feels like a lifetime ago.. I wanna go back...😩😩
I'm a teenager now. I love this song. What sucks for me is my music taste was given to someone in the wrong generation. I wish I could go party to songs like this but most people I know just listen to the hip hop crap that is popular these days.
Alban Ferati Ahhh, that's terrible! I know we've only just met, but you seem like a nice enough person to me. If that's the case, then screw them! 3 more years and you can move out and start your own thing without persecution! Hang in there, young padawan!
I am 19 currently, have discovered Trapt thanks to DBZ AMVs, not with the Headstrong but other songs, and their songs have helped me get out of the hell in my psyche
Nostalgic songs like this one sticks to your brain and it puts a time stamp in your life. You will never be able to forget about it. I will always love this song. At the time I longed for one of my best friends. I was in the Navy and she was still living in my old home town. We were best friends and she always wanted the stupid guy that treated her like crap. After I got out of the Navy I finally got my chance. Now we are married with a beautiful 4 year old girl.
Been jammin these guys out for ever. Since they came out. Im almost 25. So probably like 12 something years. Love em got me through some shitty times with my shitty ex. Peace! From Alb,NM
Cant believe this album is almost 2 decades old. Headstrong on the radio made go out and buy this album I listened to this album so much that I had to buy 4 all together and that was before you could listen to it on TH-cam. I'm 37 now in 2021 and I listen like this is new music at least once a month. I still have a whole bunch of cds you buy just to listen to 2 or even one song not this album every song is good. My favorite time to blast this is on dark and gloomy raining days dont know why just do
I was 15-16, those were real good times. didn't have to worry about much, just went out on my bike with mates all the time. I was usually listening to trapt, my mates didn't share my taste in music haha I was the awesome one 😊
Definitely the best time of my life despite having no social life haha. Its just my video games and awesome music like this. I relive it everyday with songs like this. Being 11/12 in 2005 was the best. It did went to shit after 2005 and I coped with listening to music like this, hilarious sexteen comedies and ps2 games
I know that confident person is still inside of me it's just barried by anger I will get passed what I am going through and all of the fear I have I won't let people tear me down anymore.
I was locked up for a year and a half in prison. This song made me who i am today. That was almost 5 years ago and it is still the best song on earth!!
Man I loved all Trapt songs for an unknown reason when I was a young child, now I'm 17 and know that I love them because of their maturity, their perfect tempos and real problems in which they sing about. It's a perfect example of how a debilitated infrastructure(Not saying they're "Messed up", just saying that they don't try to be perfect, only what they want to be, only what THEY want) can still produce masterpiece song after masterpiece.
Help me out here fellow fans!! How is it that someone like Linkin Park is bigger than Trapt?! I've only been a Trapt fan for 2 weeks now and already I can tell that they are waaaay better than LP! All you hear is LP this and LP that all of the internet but no Trapt! Trapt is for real!! They sing without adding crap to their songs. They sing of love, loss, and emotional pain. How can you go wrong with that?!
@spawn1390 Same here I'm 20 turnin 21 in dec. Used to listen to the whole album when I was 12 and then I lost it. Just found this song on youtube and brings back memories when me and my homie Riley used to always sing all the songs.
Story time. When I was younger I got sent to rehab in Newport Beach, California. It was... an experience, to say the least. They told me I was alcoholic. That one day I would die if I didn't quit and the only thing that would save me was a blue book and "giving myself up to god." Not only that but I didn't have any desire to quit. Still I knew I was not in a good position and I remember I used to go sit on the beach and listen to this song. It felt poetic or meaningful, ironic I guess is what I was going for, given the lyrics and my feelings at the time. This song takes me back to that beach. I used to listen to it while I drank for years thinking about those moments, wondering when I would finally die. I came to think of that moment in my life as my "death sentence." You see, for me, it wasn't a choice. As far as I was concerned those people, at the rehab center, they told me I was going to die. I'm an atheist, as if my moniker escaped anyone, and an alcoholic. I don't do god, or anything else I don't want to. Even under threat of death. I tried to quit on my own many times but it never worked, so I drank. Alot. Every day. For almost 20yrs. Then, one day, I decided to try one last time and told myself if it didn't work this time I was going to eat a 9mm and call it a day. I'll have 4yrs sober in March and I am inching close to the term happy. No gods, no books, just therapy and Naltrexone. I found the place with no walls. I know no one cares but I had to come here and write this for me because I don't have to think about the beach when I listen to this song anymore.
I know I grown older when this song is basically nostalgia for me at this moment. First fell in love with it when I was 14 years old. Now I'm 20, and I have found it again recently.
omg this song is my favorite song... i heard once and now i kant get it outta my head.... i think i kan relate to it but not sure how.... i just seem to stik to this song
has anyone else noticed that a lot of trapt songs are pretty calm in the beginning then get exciting in the chorus, then gt calmer, then get exiting for the rest of the song?
@zephyr20x6 Having experienced all three, I can say you're right. Some people can get to "step 2" in just days...depending on the person, of course. Nice to know there are educated people using youtube, and actually correcting ignorance. Props to you.
I feel u bro. I felt the exact same thing to this really beautiful russian girl in my classes and we used to walk in the halls together but we somehow slowly stopped and i missed her ever since. We still text but it's certainly not enough because it's her. She wont get out of my mind either. Situations like this really suck dude.
Don't mean to disrupt the discussion, but I am here to enjoy the music. I saw these guys when they first came out, when I met, and went out with, and now my wife, and these guys are not to be taken so litterally..hope I didn't ruin it, but thedrummer is really good, and so is the melodic music
Damn it. time flies and Im already 33. I was a young kid when trapt came out, those are awesome years to be a teenager!!
Dominador Dayot Couldn't agree more! I just turned 30, so I'm right there with ya. Where the hell did the time go?!
Joe Willard same here, I turned 30 this year and Trapt was one of the bands to bring me over to this music. I use to only listen to grunge/punk mainly, besides a bit of Green day, drowning pool or disturbed.
I'm 27, so I can remember when musicians actually had talent like these guys.
I'm 32 now and just figured out what I want to do with my life. I've been afraid to leave my comfort zone trying to be successful in my own bubble BUT not anymore I've crossed the line and there's no going back now failing forward is the only way until I succeed....gotta leave my past behind & become a better version of myself.

so many memories...its nice to see i share these feelings with alot of you. this takes me back to being 13-14 years old...man teenage life..those were the years..
yea i rememeber playing counter-strike 1.5 to this.
I couldn't agree more, so much simpler back then..!
Yeah me too, so many memories and feelings..also remembering making maps on Far Cry Instincs on 360 with Trapt on full!
Joe Willard just be careful not to end up always living in the past: "oh, the teenage years were the best! oh, the twenties were the best! oh, the thirties were the best!" etc. :P
It's not that, they where just simpler...the years, rules, things you had to do..
I'm jealous. Nick Jonas is my generation, and he's lame.
Thomas Huffcutt Yikes, that is pretty terrible!! Different strokes for different folks, I suppose...!
+Joe Willard lmao just shut the fuck up.

Lee The Flea any suggestions other than this track from trapt?
I've seen these guys twice within the last year, and both times they completely blew me away. I've been a fan for 13 years, and they continue to amaze me with their music.

Nostalgic songs like this one sticks to your brain and it puts a time stamp in your life. You will never be able to forget about it. I will always love this song. Along with 15 of my classmates from drug overdoses #Classof2005
Definitely the best time of my life despite having no social life haha. Its just my video games and awesome music like this. I relive it everyday with songs like this. I was 15. She was dope. These nostalgia memory portal songs haha.....
Everytime we remember were remembering the last time we remembered not the memory itself. And it grows more faint each time.
This song makes me think of my life and how I am trying to better myself as a person it puts me in deep thought.
This song . Makes me appreciate my freedom .Here's to you Trapt.

Love it, reminds me of my high school days for some reason. I tore those walls up back in the day.
I think this is my favorite Trapt album. Such good middle school memories.
Man I loved all Trapt songs for an unknown reason when I was a young child, now I'm 17 and know that I love them because of their maturity, their perfect tempos and real problems in which they sing about. First time hearing this since like 2006. The sound of the guitar at the start took me back to being 16 again
