If they are the assigned person for bail and fail to notify of breach of bail conditions I don't see how they can be released to their custody... it's utter madness.. I really thought that was treated as an offence
You two are hilarious together, I have not laughed so much during any other episode, thank you both, it was so enjoyable! Please Gary, please invite him back.
It’s so sad how politicians are destroying kid’s lives in Queensland 😢, 10 years old is so sick to be treated as a adult,Especially when adults don’t do the same time as the children will because it’s political! Great show 😊
Our perp can move next door, Am also a mum who fought with YJ and QPS, about to give adult time to a S/A Offender, 4 charges, he's nearly 17, QLD. Ankle monitors need to be recharged at stations...
I grew up 20 yrs in dv,i ran a womens refuge for 15yrs i spent time talking at schools re dv i can tell you we come out very broken people we no how to behave semi normal until we are triggered i have complex ptsd many if not all of us have these problems. We need help to do life as soon as possible. Jails do not help we are used to being punished thats all we no
If you look at the increase in wages versus the cost of living and what the value of that money is, versus the 80s, you'll probably find that even now pay isn't as good. A viable career where people can focus on the job instead of the shortfalls in life is probably a big part of that decision. The balance of remuneration across industries has changed drastically in recent years.
Vince is incorrect crime is not going down it's gone back to levels from about 10 years ago (in Vic, similar across other states). There are areas that have increased significantly in last couple of years (namely youth and car related), the unwritten approach here is to just rely on momentum rather than reacting to known and observable trends. In Vic we have most certainly gone 'soft on crime' with attempts at reform being the only real treatment of youth crime (despite the recommendation that established the current paradigm -- namely CCYD - recognising that there is a perpetual-offender -- in youth this is < 200 people causing 80% of youth offences in their words - which they have no plan to address and why you have the moronic situation that is happening today with the hamster wheel of offend - arrest - bail - offend ... that occurs, costing us policing time, insurance premiums and people's safety). Finally everyone that I've heard "it's never ok to hit women" as one of their moral pillars is invariably someone with anger issues that need that clear red line, and have seen several of them express other coercive actions (demeaning, implied threat of violence/standing over). I'm awfully suspicious that this is a bandaid for a self justification that this is the only coercive thing they don't do toward their intimate partner.

Parents need to be held accountable to some degree, it’s obvious that there’s also a lack supervision on there part
