Yes JL is a singer in the Philippines but he only debuted last year 2023. Some of the participants debuted way back 2019 like Kyungho and woonki and Steven.They should be more on a level of a professional singers.Jl only started to have training at his agency in 2021. 😊
But, JL has more actual stage live performance experience, esp mall tour & other events. Events like Mall tours is like a training for stage presence with actual crowds, having fun & fan interaction while performing through expressions. This is PPop strength. Aminin nyo mga PPop parang laro-laro na lang live performance at grabe interaction sa fans, kaya it looks like they are having fun lang, while sa Kpop when you watch parang work sya.

진짜 인정이에요.. 방청갔을 때 벤치분들이 다 잘 해서 저는 벤치를 응원했어요.. 벤치분들이 정말 절박했구나가 느껴졌던거 같아요. 그래도 라이브는 그루브 주전이 더 귀에 들긴 했지만, 퍼포먼스는 리듬이 눈에 들었는데.. 투표결과는 너무 극적이라 아쉽긴 했어요ㅠ 투표결과가 현장 뿐아니라 온라인도 조금더 실시간 자료가 반영되면 좋을거 같아요. 비트팀 친구들 중에도 잘하는 친구들이 있어 응원하는 마음이었는데, 너무 순식간에 탈락하니 허탈감이 들더라구요ㅠㅠ 눈으로 보는거랑 다른 결과에 더 보기 힘들겠다는 생각도 들구요.. (넘 잔인해요ㅠ) 실력좋은 친구들이 보여 응원하는 방송인데.. 잘됐음 좋겠네요..

I agree with what you said about the votes not meaning anything because they don’t reflect recent votes. it’s way too delayed, to the point that it becomes very frustrating for the audience and the hardwork of the trainees means nothing since they could already get a yellow card or be eliminated before people start voting for them when the episode airs. such a shame

I agree about the Ignition song, except JL the other members really didn't sound too good. For Mamma Mia the mentors gave team beat that choreography and song pacing in the beginning of the episode. And he really pushed them to keep the fast paced nature.

On site voters are the cause if you are wondering why Sirin got a yellow card. The votes they gave to rhythm bench is not justifiable. They are the one who decided on the ranking and even the online votes are negated or matched by the onsite votes. For the most part of the ranking, it is actually in the hands of the on site voters because they are just few in numbers but their votes hold more significance than online voters. Debuting with just 7 members I think is bad because there are a lot of talented players here. With the viewership, don''t other svs got low rating as well?. I do agree that delaying the votes feels so wrong as these trainees get better with each mission. One can even vote for someone who is already eliminated.
Incorrect, there was no individual contestant voting by the on site audience this round, just a team vote. The rankings of the trainees to determine yellow cards was based solely on the first round of online voting that happened before the show started airing.

So because the onsite vote gave such a low score to Team Rhythm Bench their online votes were scaled down. Interesting analysis but some of your comments are not accurate. JL is not the most experienced contestant. Steven , Keum Jinho , Kim Gijoong , Kwon Heejun , Jang Kyungho , Kenta , and/or Cha Woongki have also already debuted and have been working in the industry as idols just as long or longer than JL . So JL individual talent is not only a result of his experience.
maybe im biased but after watching the two teams’ mamma mia fancams, team beat’s vocals are actually more stable? it seems like team groove was more reliant on backtrack and perhaps also post-production corrections in the official performance video.. im pretty sure changsub even mentioned that they needed to improve their live vocals during their practice evaluation. that aside though i do feel like groove was more well-rounded overall while beat was carried by woongki and kairi

Yeah, I feel the same dismissiveness too and it rubs me the wrong way. I know saying someone is "professional" is not bad but he says it as if JL has an advantage over EVERYONE because he's debuted before. He's said it before too. Meanwhile a lot of the Korean, Chinese, Japanese and even Thai contestants are or have been active as idols. Others have participated in one or more survival shows before as well. 😖
i really liked the team rhythm bench team's performance over groove's and I was disappointed they didn't win. as for the mamma mia's bench groove's performance, i think the choreography was a bit out of place in relation to the meaning of the song.
I agree with almost everything you said but not about your opinion that Team Beat Bench did better than Team Rythm. Individually, Team Beat Bench may performed better but their team lacked harmony and their energy is not consistent. There were high and lows on Team Beat Bench's performance and their dance is not clean. Team Rythm's harmony as a group were more superior and they were more impactful. That's just how I see it though.

His comment how tram beat did better than rhythm IS exactly my comment about the Prison competition but team rhythm has no Korean in there and they did not win. Sorry but I feel that really in everything viewers tend to be patriotic to their own countrymen IN GENERAL as you are in your own views which is a pity but I respect that. I guess you really view this in the view of the korean audience so it is enlightening how other races are viewed. Thai nationals tend to have chinese or other asian ethnicity so I guess that is how they can be 'accepted' and I do think a lot of thai talents are really talented so thanks for that they can thrive in the korean industry. Guess this is a lesson to other dreamers...dream big elsewhere other than the kpop industry. It might be the biggest thing now but you can shake the pop industry in your own country and go worldwide. I was right and you are right! Man, what's the point of hardwork, and talents when in the first place the foreign participants are about to say hi to koreans(on site vote) but then got eliminated before they can show their personalities. This on site voting system is total nonsense.
Universe League tried to be different from the usual idol survival programs but FAILED! 😑 like, i get that the "league" concept is different & quite interesting but the voting system here SUCKS! How many votes had been wasted during the 2R of global voting coz we've been voting for the eliminated trainees??? Also, what's the point of online voting & individual ranking if in the end, it only boils down to whichever group in one team will get to debut??? As per the current ranking, there are 4 Rhythm members, 1 Beat, & 2 Groove. So, what's the point of that when there are literally members from all 3 teams? If they really pushed the idea of debuting just ONE group from ONE team, then we will definitely be losing a lot of talented & popular trainees. They're already not doing very well with the viewership & with the other idol survival programs like 'Starlight Boys' & 'Project 7' debuting their own groups next year, UL debut group will definitely struggle with popularity. Not to mention 'Boys II Planet' might start next year too.

i really liked the team rhythm bench team's performance over groove's and I was disappointed they didn't win.
as for the mamma mia's bench groove's performance, i think the choreography was a bit out of place in relation to the meaning of the song.

I agree with almost everything you said but not about your opinion that Team Beat Bench did better than Team Rythm. Individually, Team Beat Bench may performed better but their team lacked harmony and their energy is not consistent. There were high and lows on Team Beat Bench's performance and their dance is not clean. Team Rythm's harmony as a group were more superior and they were more impactful. That's just how I see it though.
I clicked got it though I did not understand the guidelines juat so I can leave this comment...because I have to say this. His comment how tram beat did better than rhythm IS exactly my comment about the Prison competition but team rhythm has no Korean in there and they did not win. Sorry but I feel that really in everything viewers tend to be patriotic to their own countrymen IN GENERAL as you are in your own views which is a pity but I respect that. I guess you really view this in the view of the korean audience so it is enlightening how other races are viewed. Thai nationals tend to have chinese or other asian ethnicity so I guess that is how they can be 'accepted' and I do think a lot of thai talents are really talented so thanks for that they can thrive in the korean industry. Guess this is a lesson to other dreamers...dream big elsewhere other than the kpop industry. It might be the biggest thing now but you can shake the pop industry in your own country and go worldwide. I hope this comment is not screened and prevented to be posted here. Because here we are supporting and shouting out other talents irregardless of which country they come from but it seems it is not the same the other way around.

참고로 JL은 2023년에 데뷔했고, UL의 다른 한국 참가자들은 2019년과 2021년에 데뷔했지만 아직 프로라고 불릴 수준은 아닙니다. 질투한다면 그럴 수도 있지만, 지금은 너무 씁쓸해 보이니 속으로만 품으세요.

I was right and you are right! Man, what's the point of hardwork, and talents when in the first place the foreign participants are about to say hi to koreans(on site vote) but then got eliminated before they can show their personalities. This on site voting system is total nonsense.

Universe League tried to be different from the usual idol survival programs but FAILED! 😑 like, i get that the "league" concept is different & quite interesting but the voting system here SUCKS! How many votes had been wasted during the 2R of global voting coz we've been voting for the eliminated trainees??? Also, what's the point of online voting & individual ranking if in the end, it only boils down to whichever group in one team will get to debut??? As per the current ranking, there are 4 Rhythm members, 1 Beat, & 2 Groove. So, what's the point of that when there are literally members from all 3 teams?
If they really pushed the idea of debuting just ONE group from ONE team, then we will definitely be losing a lot of talented & popular trainees. They're already not doing very well with the viewership & with the other idol survival programs like 'Starlight Boys' & 'Project 7' debuting their own groups next year, UL debut group will definitely struggle with popularity. Not to mention 'Boys II Planet' might start next year too.
