"Generate notes from chord symbols" may win the award for 'Most understated feature name', given the semi-unbelievable amount of stuff it seems to be doing.
Nowadays nobody seems to want to pay for the extra time it takes arrangers to create 'play-along/practice' mockups. This feature cuts the workload by making a workman like piano or rhythm section part. I went in and edited the bass part using Opt-U and rhythm grid setting and changed the bass notes to a bass line. This will be most helpful to those of us who write slashes for the rhythm section but have to create play-along parts for the client. Thank you!
This must be for pro only, I'm using Eorico Elements 4.3 and it does not do this. I put chords in, select the region , right click the "generate notes from chord thing" and nothing happens. I'm not buying "pro" just for this little function.
Love Dorico, but really, really dislike this feature. Promotes laziness. There are loads of tasks I’d love simplified or automated. Voicing, instrumentation choices, etc, are not among them
This feature looks to be exceptionally useful for jazz and pop rhythm section guitar and piano parts where all that is typically written in the part are chords and slashes. This notation is great for performers but not if you just need chord symbols to playback in a way that resembles what an experienced performer will do while for arranging/mockup purposes.

Every time I think that the new release will be another crazy game changer, and yes, I'm right, this gift is another dream release. Thanks!
Fantastic new feature Team Dorico. Great execution
This feature alone makes this such a great purchase. An insane time-saver!

Is the sound library u use the dorico default library? already sounds great!
It’s fantastic 🎉❤
how is this done on Dorico Pro 5 please?
Just: WOW! 😮
Is it available on iPad version?
How do i stop it from changing the melody line?
I love this
I think Dorico misses af function to make keyboardchords visually - you know a picture of keys with dots on.

This is NOT a “little function”
You are not human beings! ❤
Seriously bad instructions that assume that you 1) know how to assign aliases... oops, already stuck on this, Non-Intuitiveness 101
