Thank you for this, the mainstream reviewers leave out these important titles even though a lot of people play them. I had a friend go from a 2700X to a 5800X regular and he said his framerates doubled in Rust, this definitely confirms that
nice!! I looked everywhere for some comparisons. upgraded to 32gb and I've had zero stutters even with memory leak and background apps open. amazing CPU upgrade, it definitely increases the GPU utilization for 1080p
I just built my brother a PC today! since I'm not liking the current market; I picked up the 5800X3D for $306 but its on sale just 2 days after getting it -_- for $30 less at $288 on amazon right now. compared to the 5800x at $238 I'd say the jump in price would be worth it for the longevity. plus the x3d is a decent increase out of the box compared to the 5800x. both would probably be an amazing upgrade from the 2700x though. I'm happy with the decision 👍
Those games really benefit from more cache in a CPU...such a massive boost in performance. But why does using 2700X makes your GPU under-utilized, is it a CPU bottleneck?
possibly looking to upgrade when 5800x3d gets to sub 150$ at some point because im using a 5800x non3d. I play a lot of rust which sees a 37% boost going from 5800x to 5800x3d.
You are taking it too literally. I didn't say the same, i said similar, as in my fps was greatly increased. The first games i tried included rust and tarkov as well, at 1440p res with a 1070ti and 16gb 3200mhz ram. went from 50-60fps on rust to 110-130, and Tarkov online raids went from 50-70 fps to 80-110 depending on the map. I wouldn't call the 5800x3d far far superior unless it is regarding 1080p performance.
not really sure. but I have an MSI mobo updated the BIOS and MSI kombo strike enabled in the BIOS to boost the chipset. other brands should have some similar setting
Just tried it again. had to download a 30gb update before I could. I was around the Hypoelectric area. I was getting 95-120fps on all high settings + Anti aliasing at 1080p never, below 70 I believe
i Have a ryzen 1700 and a RTX3060Ti, verry similar fps to the 2700X on tarkov, i guess i do need a 5800X3D, can you make a comparison with 32GB Vs 16GB?
@@Psych0Mantis tf u t'bout boi, amd ain't gonna be better than intel we all know that, maybe AMD gonna be better only for new releases that competes with intel old releases, but then when intel releases another i9 maybe a i9-14900ks, then we all know it's gonna be again the best in the world
There's no difference between 32GB and 16GB ram, you only start seeing performance issues when you get down to the 8-12GB range and you have a small amount of VRAM

Awesome review !
Thanks!!
very nice benchmarks
thank you, this really helped
If have AM4 and playing Tarkov, your only choise 5800X3D!
Just order it can't wait!
Just bought this in my new PC. On my current I've been getting as low as 25 fps. Got 3050 GPU too can't wait
nice man hows the performance?
3050 is a realy bad choice xd

Man look at the difference in GPU usage on that street comparison…… nearly 1/2 urilization on the 2700x and it shows

Jesus Christ!! That Rust improvement is insane. I defo need to upgrade my 2700x to a 5800x3D.... i wonder what the 5800X performance gain is like.

Yes, it is a CPU bottleneck.
upgrade ur gpu for Tarkov and you good to go. rust is CPU intensive reason you have big jump fps

It wont get sub 250$ buddy :/
i noticed similar gains going from ryzen 2600 to a 5600x
Highly doubt as the 5800x3d is far far superior to the 5600x. If by similar you mean, not close at all, then ok
