- This video shows how to replace the carb on a Toro Recycler Push Mower. I did not change out the spark plug because it was new. The plug was cross threaded and all the threads were gone. At the end of the video the Spark Plug shoots out of the mower across the garage.

This video may be 8 years old now, but it just helped us change out the carburetor on our same mower! THANK YOU! ❤️
I cannot thank you enough for saving me a ton of money by me replacing the carburetor on my Toro recycler lawnmower. I am not mechanically inclined but after following your instructions from your video I was able to change the carburetor and now the lawnmower is running like a champ. I am actually kind of proud of myself because the lawnmower is working. Thank you very much once again for your spot on video where a layman could understand the video.
I enjoyed the carb rebuild and like the fact you didn't edit out the flying spark plug scene. 🤣🤣 that's my luck too.
Thank you very much for this video, I'm not too mechanically inclined but had trouble with my mower and couldn't afford to take it to a shop, and your video was clear enough that I was able to replace the carburetor and it started right up!
This was 100% accurate and very well presented. Excellent work. My mower mows again.
Thanks for the video. The instructions were spot on for fixing my carb. Great work!
Thanks, replaced the carb and first pull, BAM! It went to 3 service centres who could not fix BUT I did and it was free :) Good clear video, thanks ^5 At 62 and wounded front wheel drive helps much.
Thank you for the detailed instruction! You made it possible for this diy gal to get the mower going again!
Your video really helped me a lot. I had a hard time getting to where the gas line connected to the carburetor so I disconnected the carburetor first then disconnected the gas line afterwards. Other than that I followed the same steps as you did. But I replaced my spark plug correctly so my mower started right up with the new parts.
Thanks for the video, have mine all torn down to replace the carburetor that I am currently waiting on to arrive. I seen a couple easier steps and thanks for telling all the sizes of tools you were using, will make install a lot easier (as well as the spring) :)
I'm going to echo many of the other comments. This video was excellent, your explanations very good. My old mower is working once again. Thank you!
Thank you ever so much for posting this video. With your help I was completely successful in changing the carburetor. In years past I would never had attempted this and sent it out. For $17 the thing is working like new. Cheers!

I have the same model and just ordered the carb. spark plug and air filter. Thanks for the video
You did good man. I'll be replacing my Carb also. Thanks for the tips on the Toro 6.5 HP.
Wow! Thanks for carb info. I got carb, air filter; plug and new hoses and clamps for $15 on Amazon. Cheaper to replace carb than to clean.
Great ending. LOL. Thanks for the informative video. This helps me a ton (not very mechanically inclined).
I believe I can do it now! My husband says I'm just a girl....but I love this stuff!
This is a great instructional video. I'm doing the job now. Thank you.
Thank you!
Excellent video. The fact that the spark plug was not properly installed by the prior owner is inconsequential. The process of removing and installing a carb was well documented.
Worked like a champ! Great job, thanks!
I'll be tackling this project tomorrow. Thanks for the step by step. I'm mechanically inclined but haven't worked on a mower so I always like seeing a video ahead of time to get an idea of what I'm in for. This was exactly what I needed to see. Thanks again!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My lawnmower runs better than ever.
Thank u I had the metal rod on the big last whole once I put it to second one started right up
GOOD JOB.Great how too video.
Excellent step by step
Good job...that was a good laugh!😂
I know I'm later than first. Algebra 3 in the afternoon... Lol.... But thank you so much for sharing this I got a towel roll in the carburetors really showing his backside and this gives me an idea because I'm not the most mechanically inclined person.... But it does give me some ho thanks again for sharing
Thanks for watching please subscribe
😂😂😂 Nice details & hilarious finish ❤
Good video. Price went up on that carb. Was going to make my own video, but yours was too good. lol
I replaced my carb today because it wasn't starting at all. Now it runs, but it revs up and down, up and down, not steady at all. Any ideas? (Thanks for this video, made it very easy (sort of) to do.)
I ordered part of the amazon u put i dont know what wrong it wont fire up..is the tiny screw that tightens for some reason in and out like important
the ending! LMAO! hahahaha! Good thing there were no bystanders! hahaha!
( I work for a TORO dealer, btw lol ) We sell Husqvarna, TORO, Bad Boy & SCAG. As well as STIHL hand held equipment. ;-)
LOL....well, thanks for changing the carburetor! I guess you can reuse the old one.
I put and on for some reason the red hose leading to the airfilter just leaks gas and leaks onto the mower deck
I’m in the middle of this project. When I took the carburetor and intake pipe off it seemed like there was also a thin gasket between the pipe intake and the motor. Did you not need to put a new gasket there? There are remnants of the torn up old one. Thank you Mike!
Mine came with a new gasket see 8:45
@@MIKESGARAGE813 I’m talking about the other side of the pipe intake. Mine came with the one you showed as well. It would be placed right before you screw the intake pipe in at 12:36.
I forgot to take gasket out of the old one to knew could that be why it not start
I cant see the 2 wire arms - you need a light to shine in there

I installed the carb when I pump the primer, NOTHING. It won't pump gas in.
This guy removed parts that weren't necessary to remove. The carburetor is bolted to the intake with only 2 bolts. Removing the muffler and intake isn't necessary. I can only guess that he doesn't have the right wrench for the nuts that hold the carburetor to the intake. I would advise everyone to look at more that one "instructional" video when trying to DIY, especially if you've never tried anything like this.
Thanks for watching.
You can tell the spark plug was loose in the video, they probably put in the wrong plug.
u never say what the seond hose is for
breather hose, fuel line
Mine didn't start after replacement
Hosoi Archives take out the spark plug and spray starter fluid into the hole. If it starts it’s a fuel issue. If it doesn’t then it’s a spark issue or compression issue.
MIKE'S GARAGE thanks I'm on it
@@hosoiarchives4858 Update us :)
lawn mower from hell
Don't think I need to see you don't think I need to hear three introductions from you I don't think this video is worth watching the title was about how to replace the carburetor not you in front of the camera running your mouth
Thanks for watching...have a great weekend
Thank you!
