That was just what I tough also. I had 1,3 ltr Horizon as my first car and 1990s it had (or all Talbot models had) reputation as car for people with life expectation under 10 years 😂. As so, granpa died and granma have car to me so i could go from a to b. I had swedish made 99 GL and i didn’t get it welded up before i got the driving licence. Horizon was kind of funny car as it own way, under 80 tkm on odo but as rooting from Simca, it had own unique rattling soundtrack (as the engine was designed for Simca 1000, it was originally designed to rotate counter clockwise and they didn’t bother to design it to clockwise operation), car was really lightweight and then there was this Paris-Rhône, maker of electric devices like ignition system. It did a full stop and black out several times. Wait 15 min to 2hrs and works like never happened 😂Parking lot, intersections etc. Every time I just leave car just there where it died, leave keys on ignition and never it was stolen 😂 once when it died on middle of a big intersection someone pushed it on roadwalk 😂 Then I got my 99 ready and never touched Horizon again.
@@janikoivunen1148 Haha, great story! I used to work as a mechanic for Honda back in the late 90's, the Civic's had a similar problem. It was caused by bad soldering in the main relay for the fuel pump, people stopped for gas and couldn't get the car started after filling the tank. Wait for 20-30 mins and the car worked perfectly again. Solved with a bit of solder. Same went for the automatic headlights. Guess the electronics were made by Lucas.

No, last convertible was made at 2003.
