It's so uncanny how the beginning of the verses sound like velvet underground then turns into the doors by the end of the verse and definitely the chorus! That's what my ears hear anyway. Great song from the greatest period of music ever!

The opening scene to scary stories to tell in the dark with this song was so nostalgic and memorable and the use of the song with the radio announcing Halloween and bringing up the song then playing it was amazing, then the Lana del Rey version at the end was good, overall the whole movie was pretty good

@@adilkhankarimov6355 Not a chance Friend. It is 11pm now and We had about 100 trick or treaters this year. I live in Canada and the season starts here in mid September, decorating for Fall. Then transitions into Thanksgiving and A few days later the Halloween decorations come out. I keep it well lit so the youngsters don't get scared. It all comes down between the 1st and 11th of November and I turn into Clark Griswold. LOL. Peace and Love and best wishes to you and your family. Btw I'm 73. Growing Old is Mandatory, Growing Up is Optional. ;)

I remember listening to this song before I comprehended the full scope of "psychedelic rock" and assumed everything from the 60s with a color-saturated, art-nouveau cover would sound like Jimi Hendrix. Needless to say, I didn't get it and dropped it quickly. Several years later, I listened to it again for some reason and was electrified.

We were tripping and eating mushrooms like candy.😂 I was in my second year of college and having the time of my life! The women would tend the garden naked..it was so beautiful to just experience and enjoy the peace closeness of friends.. I had been out the Army for 2 years and finally recovering from trauma of it all..

This came out the year I started high school...I was 15. And believe me, this song was very, VERY cool, as were the parties & dancing! It was before greedy people started to cut the psychedelic drugs with toxic chemicals & before HIV. It was a bi-polar era, really; one side trying, like prison wardens, to crush the souls & spirits of its own young people, & keep society chained to conservative ideals on religion, sex, bigotry, intolerance, & war, while almost everybody under the age of 30, were pushing back like bulldozers against those destructive, hateful, old ideas. It really was the best of times, & also the worst of times. Strange, so strange... 😁😉😄

This was great as a closing song from that movie To Die For, with Nicole Kidman and Joaquin Phoenix. The one where she has the you kids kill her husband. The final scene was of Ileana Douglas (I think) skating on the frozen over pond that the dead Nicole Kidman was under, while this song played.

This hear is everything to me. I love how he acted about the kid on stage and him just stealing a cigarette and sitting on the stage watching the band. I wish this level of kindness and understanding to come back. It's absolutely beautiful such a incredible piece of the time machine I'm glad this moment got captured for me to see.
