I am feeling like I just crawled out of some cave as I am listening this for the very first time in 2021. I can't explain how I could not have known about this masterpiece for so long.
ive been listening to justice for years but i decided to check out this song just a few days ago and boy was i pissed when i found out how much of a banger this was
@@simonalexandre2370 i think they meant that this song feels continuous throughout. while some songs of justice has this interconnection between another song next in the same album, they have a new idea thrown in and sometimes forgets about the idea on the previous song a quarter way into the song. with planisphere, you have this leitmotif that plays for the entire song. not only that, the song have the same drum samples throughout which helps the continuity. while it does throw in a new idea in each section, in the end they go back to that same melody. (with variations in each section, of course) now, it's hard to use the same ideas you have in your song for 17 minutes. not only that, you have to come up with new ideas to keep it interesting which i think planisphere did in an excellent way. that's what i thought at least.
It feels like the song is a great transition piece from Cross to AVD, since it starts off with the signature Cross sound and finishes with heavy rock twisted with the touch of Justice.
This song is absolutely incredible. I've always admired Too Long by Daft Punk, as it keeps you entertained for 10 minutes straight. But this is just another level. It's 17 MINUTES and doesn't even have actual lyrics, and still you don't have the time to get bored. Masterpiece
Song blew me away in 2011. I thought it was going to be a famous instant classic, epic class and such. Instead it remained one of my lesser known secrets.
This is probably the most unique song have ever heard, it’s long and sounds like 4 different songs in one, but flow together so smoothly that despite the start sounding nothing like the end of the song, you can listen to it changing in real time
3:02 gets me everytime. As everyone said, Justice's masterpiece, hope they aim to release big tracks like this in the future with the demise of Daft Punk.
A fantastic transition from Cross to AVD. With the heavy very housey electronic parts resembling cross in parts (1 + 2) to rockier elements in AVD (4). A masterpiece.
Yea and also the fact that it mixes both the french electro style of cross while using bitcrush and phasers and other elements of avd, that's why I really love this track since it fills in the gap between avd and cross even if the original demo was composed before cross
now, they released Hyperdrama, what's your opinion on it ? (for me, all of the tracks featuring Tame Impala is dope as fuck, then Ingognito and Generator is OG Justice)

OK, this ranks right up there with the full length version of Orbital's The Box as one of the best instrumental pieces I've heard in a long, long time of anywhere near this length. Well done!
Everytime i listen to this song throughout the years I enjoy it even more. The way the song re-imaginates itself, with different sounds that connects to different ages on earth history (at least that's what it sounds to me, thus the name Planisphere), trully a masterpiece.
