Love the elements of the podcasts intertwined into the video. Makes for a great viewing experience and signposts you to get the full podcast on. Great work media team.
Content doesn’t stop and I’m all in recovering from a knee surgery from work and your videos just push my ass to be the best I can be keep killing it can’t wait to see race day !
Damn, these guys need to work out together more! They were pushing! Don't think I've seen Nick hurt like that before and the throw up was icing on the cake lol
Absolutely loved this and it just appeared on my feed. I’m 50 yo and always been into fitness. I’m not sure whether I’ve been doing Hydrox without knowing it! I do a 10k run - aim for sub 40 min, followed by a 30 min stand up row - aim for 6.5k and then finish with the arm bike for 15 mins! That said I hate squats - worry about my knees. And my wife’s Indian so eat far too much to stay ripped but may look into some events in my area.
There needs to be a giveaway where you can win a chance to go to BPN headquarters and work out with Nick Bare or the team!!! I would KILL to be pushed through one of those workouts!!! 💪🏻
4:47 You have to be deliberate... my alarm is on the other side of my room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off then I'm up, I haven't missed a wake up since I've been doing this 🔌💡🧠
On the Hyrox site now and looks like your start wave is 18:50. May check out their live stream later but definitely looking forward to your video production.
11:50 - I kinda agree with this, however, as a rower myself and seeing other people technique on the erg really leaves me wondering if there is more to gain by training in proper form on the erg. Yes you only spend 3 percent of your time there but with just technique you can probably save 10-20 seconds while being less burned out. Although this of course is not alot seeing the grand scheme, I do feel like if you trained certain elements of the Hyrox, just focussing on technique, you probably could be saving around a minute or 2. Now I am not saying that I see this with you Nick, but I think it is something to factor in.
I just wanted to tell some of you runners that the temperature really matters and right now is the best time to improve your runs if you live in the south. My runs got worse and worse this year during the heat wave, I sometimes took breaks on a measly 5k. Houston finally cooled down a bit and now I am doing 10ks easily, pretty sure I can run indefinitely with the cooler weather....so now I do a speed day to do better per mile times.
Yes, your VO2 max will drop while running in the heat of the day. Pretty much after the first mile your body is battling heat by trying to cool and your run times will suffer because it absolutely drains you. I deal with this for about 6 months of the year here in subtropical Okinawa. I end up running only in the early morning or late evening hours of the day. But now it's perfect. Low 70s during the day and 60s at night.
This has all really sucked. I was so excited for this only to find out it wouldn't be streamed. I'm hoping BPN will release us a solid video summary and lessons learned here soon.
Great video... although, as a Canadian, it still perplexes me how Americans are pretty much the only country on the planet to still think in miles. Hyrox is 8 x 1km, yet you guys were discussing pace in mins per mile LOL!
What are those black rings that you guys are all wearing? It doesnt look like an oura ring, but also doesnt look like other smart rings that i know. Oh and also, where is the Nick bare playlist? 😉
Man I'm so sad watching you guys train in warmer weather. It's 30 here and I miss sweating my nuts off. Can't wait for spring, and we have a ways to go. Thanks for the content. It's always awesome!!
Hi Nick, thanks for all your motivating videos 😍If I could give you a little advice while you're running, keep your arms in the axis of your shoulders. Don't cross too much the axis of your body. It will be more efficient and you'll consume less energy with this little improvment :-) and just a question, do you sometimes drink alcohol or 0 all the time ? Thanks :)
the right video at the right time. Startet to train hyrox stile 3 weeks ago and had sore muscles for 4 days after each training session so my thoughts were i had to train more for strength but now in the video i learned its all about the aerobic capacity. maybe my plan is something like 2 hyrox sessions and one long run each week to the point the muscle soreness lasts only 1-2 days. But whats better next another running session or fit in a strength session?
@jblizzard962 Sure it is to hart but there is only one hyrox training Group in my city. I have to decide go with them and let my body adept to the training or train alone without the knowledge how to train
@Stefanssky you do what suits you the best. Maybe do some research on recovery and stay away from injury. You can do some slow runs on your not Hyrox training days.
How can each exercise only be 3% if the run is 50%? The math just doesn't add up. There are 8 exercises so 3x8 = 24%. 50+24 = 74%. Where are the remaining 26%?
Honest question No jokes I try to wake up at 5am and workout but I feel like trash all day when I do (7.5-8 hours sleep) My routine has changed and I have been working out after work but it’s just is tough to get amped up for it and then be be present at home afterwards There really isn’t enough hours in the day I hate “if you want it bad enough you will work for it” I strongly want to reach my goals but I hate feeling like a zombie and depending on caffeine to survive It’s just a blow to my confidence hearing that Just because I don’t work as hard as Nick Bare or David Goggins doesn’t mean I don’t want to reach my goals
You’re probably not actually getting 7-8 hours of sleep. Waking up at 5 am and getting 7 hrs of sleep would mean falling asleep at 10 which means going to bed at 930. If you’re working out after work you’re probably not eating till 7 at least which means your body won’t want to fall asleep until 10 at least. And that’s cutting it all perfectly exact.
@ Mmmh That’s not exactly what I said and that’s a lot of assumptions I do get 7.5-8 hours a night I go to bed between 930pm-10pm I get to the gym at 330pm and home by 5pm dinner at 6pm I am an exact person I do everything almost to a T everyday I said I’ve tried to get up at 5am and when I do I feel like trash It’s not an everyday thing because my body can’t handle it I typically wake up at 520am-530am and that’s hard enough Last night I slept from 10pm-530am which is 7.5 hours of sleep I sleep through the night and don’t wake up
@@jayceecurran no kidding it's a lot of assumptions, I'm a guy on the internet giving advice. Maybe get a sleep tracker, maybe your sleep isn't actually good or something.
Can’t wait to see the video from the race today!!
Me too!
Did I miss something? I didn’t see it uploaded.
Spoiler alert!!!!!

I LOVE IT! GO! ONE MORE! ELITE!
The workout around 8:36 is intense! I would like to start doing workouts like this.
I need a video on how y’all got y’all’s endurance and cardio to the level it is
Gear
Just go out and do intense activity 5-6 times a week. The other days do active recovery like mountain biking.
Great video! You're a beast!
Really love!
From Chile Nick Bare!
Loved the team workout- it was easy to see how such a workout could be scaled down for us less elite athletes. When is Nick's Hyrox race?
Good luck!
Done well Nick to keep up with the pros
Mom wake up, new Nick Bare video just dropped
Just saw the finishing time and can’t wait to see recap. I think he will sign up for the Hyrox Houston for redemption. G1M

Badass!
Bro, I was dissapointed with your Hyrox performance. I was expecting a better time honestly.
What was the final time?
Man I'm so sad watching you guys train in warmer weather. It's 30 here and I miss sweating my nuts off. Can't wait for spring, and we have a ways to go.
Thanks for the content. It's always awesome!!
Hillou?
Wtf is Waldo I mean Nick
What watches are the boys wearing!?
How do you get that kind of size and still run that fast though?
Hi Nick, thanks for all your motivating videos 😍If I could give you a little advice while you're running, keep your arms in the axis of your shoulders. Don't cross too much the axis of your body. You do not get it at all. You train to hard thats why you have muscle sorness. How can you not understand it.
@jblizzard962 Sure it is to hart but there is only one hyrox training Group in my city. I have to decide go with them and let my body adept to the training or train alone without the knowledge how to train

Is the race going to he streamed
I think hybric people's muscles are a bit soft, right? Doesn't look good
damn bro, 6:57 a mile for 9 miles. Thats bad ass.
Anyone know the brand of green shorts Nick has on during the EMOM

That’s a good question. Maybe they mean time wise? I’m not super familiar with Hyrox so I could be wrong
Do you have a Hyrox program on Playbook?
Song name?
🔥🔥🔥💪
Rexroth 😎💪

what are these songs, I love em but don’t know the titles of them or anything.
Look at the description
