Know where we came from, who led us and where we are presently located in modern Ghana.🇬🇭 #GhanaEthnicGroups #GovernancePolitics&Stability #SocialStudiesMadeSimple
Thank you for teaching me things that I had forgotten about most of I'm 70yre old and I will pass it on to my grandchildren God bless you and I will pass them along I'm in Toronto Canada right now 🙏♥❤
As someone who works at the statistical services the akan percentage is actually way over 60 percent. We just skew it to 50 percent to promote ethnic cohesion. You can even calculate the total percentage of ethnic akan states as a percentage of the population.
You would need to read from different sources, contact the elders and listen to different narratives to settle down on most of these facts. They can't be found in one book.
Point of correction, the people of Ketu in present day Benin are not similar to Yoruba people. They are actually Yoruba people. So, in essence, two of the 5 major tribes of Ghana trace their origin to the Yoruba people. That is fascinating to me as a Yoruba woman. The Yorubas stretch from modern day Nigeria to modern day Gambia.
Good attempt. It's only your geography I have little problem with. The location of Ghana Empire is out of range. It needs to come down to West Africa lol
I'm sorry you are mixing up things. Mole- Dagbon is rather from Burkina Faso. Their language and moshie language relates. Guan's are rather from somewhere Egypt, they came to Mali, Kumbi Saleh and to modern day Ghana. The Gonjas only traded with the moshies in Burkina Faso but they are never from Burkina Faso. And their languages are very different. Please learn your history well.
The Mossi people are from Burkina Faso and the Mole Dagbon languages relate to Mossi language. So that should tell you that they originated from Burkina Faso, not the Guans. I don't know where that is coming from?

We Soninkes are the real akans. The rulers, the gold smiths, the fisherman’s and the farmers but we the Ceesay’s are the rulers.

It is in West Africa. The Ghana empire was in modern day Mauritania. That’s where he put it.
