Man! I really like island games. I almost always did plains/highlands and so islands are fun to watch. It would be awesome to see another P2N island game all the way through to the end. On EE AoC, I did the Planets Large sometimes. Basically, a Space Race. I enjoyed that a lot. My best time was around F11 1:55 or something. Definitely in the 50s. I always had the fastest time with the people I was playing against. I remember hearing stories of a guy who could get 1:37 or something. I never got to see it for myself! Could you do a video of Planets Large sometime and show me how fast a pro can get to space? Thanks!

Or how fast can a player get to space in tournament mode with cheaper epochs? And yea man! Would love to watch you guys make a space race vid!!!! :D:D:D
+EEKazter I looked at a bunch of my old saved games back in the day. I apparently never got any 1:55. I always thought I had. I actually only saw 2:03 as my best back in 2002/2003. Just played 2 games of Pre2Space Large Planets Standard variant vs a comp. I was actually able to beat my old school best at 1:59:49! I'm pretty sure now that the stories of people getting 1:35 and 1:37 are from them getting fed. Because I had was pretty fast on doing things. My civ was Expansionism, advanced mining, bonus to iron, bonus to gold. Either that or he used tourny variant. But I feel like if someone is fed, that they could probably get even better than 1:30. And if someone used tourny variant, they'd probably tech up in under an hour easily. But yea, pretty sure an hour and 50 something minutes is the best a single person can do. There is something called "population bonus" in EE. If you have a settlement next to a gold mine and your citizens gather 15 gold and then deposit it to the settlement you will gain 15 gold. If you have a capitol with 50 inside next to the gold mine instead of a settlement, and the citizen gathers 15 gold and deposit it to the capitol with 50 you will gain 30 gold. So you get twice as much! it also scales so if you have 2 citizens inside a settlement u get slightly more resources etc. I recommend as a general rule to take as many mines as possible. and after that you start populating them if you need more resources :)
The green dots you speak of has nothing to do with your citizens gathering. Green dots shows how much morale your units/towers have. 1 green dot = 1 morale = 10% less damage taken. Max 6 morale in standard game variant :)
I don't think so. Basically you don't want your forage-citizens to have to waste time walking back and forward. I mean, they will be gathering from those patches in 45+ f11. Also you don't want to make a town center next to anything else than gold/iron in the beginning. Therefor making 2 settlements at forages, and one more next to metal to later make tc is my preference. Of course, these things are debatable. I can't say with absolute certainty that my way is the best way. I do know however that this is how most of the experts do it.
To make town center I put 5 citizens inside them. When making Captiols, I always put 16 in the beginning. For maximum population bonus you want 47 in the Capitol.
