HALVE THE AMOUNT OF SENTANCES??? IT IS THE SPEECH GIVEN BY EISENHOWER FOR GODS SAKE. you can't halve it. You don't do ANYTHING to it , in fact you ONLY play the original recorded speech or the later recording , whatever is available. What you DONT do is get some young idiot who doesn't understand the gravity and historic value of the speech to read it out like it was some dumb tweet. The fact you didn't know what this speech was and described it as what your squad leader (or sergeant did you say? Try the allied supreme commander for the entire operation!) What they would say before you jump. Well no shit sherlock. Sorry but right at this point I no longer wanted to know your take on the whole subject as you know just about as much as they do. Read a book, watch a documentary. Learn the history maybe? In all seriousness it shows a massive disrespect for what they did if you can't be bothered to actually go learn about it. Sadly far too many people today know next to nothing about it all.
That speech at the beginning was by Eisenhower on D-Day. And it would have probably landed better if they had just used the actual recording of his speech instead of getting gruff, done to death, tough guy to do it. And Americans did use gliders on D-Day, but not at the same places that airborne troops were dropping. On the other hand though, I could make a more convincing map/terrain in whatever terrain editor you gave me. This looks like gm_flatgrass with about 5 mins worth of prop placement. Kind of sad honestly.

Great video Altie! Made me laugh, which is nice since the HLL trailer made me cry. What a complete fuck up this trailer was. From all the graphical issues to idiotic things like random sand bags placed around the field for no reason. The level of poor decision making surrounding this video is breath-taking. I see some people say they didn't check it before releasing. This is crazy talk, of course they all checked it, discussed it and then approved it. There are no rogue elements involved here. Just compare this video to the Carentan video that was released a couple of years ago. Completely different league. What is also disappointing is the apology for the video: "What we’d hoped would be an exciting and immersive trailer for our next update - Devotion to Duty - has unfortunately fallen short of expectations. We understand that you were eagerly awaiting the trailer, and we deeply apologize for the disappointment, frustration, and sense of let-down felt among the community". Do they think that OUR standards are too high or what?! I would be so embarrassed to be associated with something like this. One big thing was also, that the trailer itself was getting hyped up prior in Dev Briefings, Tweets, Shoutouts. "Catch it on that show! Its starting now! Go Watch it!" And then, the overall opinion was going clearly ONE way - and that way is the way down. I'm also unsure WHY we needed a U15 Trailer. See for U14, it would have made sense. The British Forces, North Africa, Market Garden - thats some very big and great advertisement opportunities for them..but there was no trailer. Now, with a small potentially unpopular gamemode, we get a "unique" trailer. Very odd choice when it comes to WHAT Update gets a hype-up trailer.

My theory was, that the reason for the trailer was the drop of the 101 DLC. - A Paratrooper Outfit DLC and a paratrooper area for the new gamemode. And then we have a paratrooper-trailer. Something that (should) oozes action and entertainment. Now imagine if you could get the same cool outfit. Wonder if some other uniforms are in that DLC that we've seen in the trailer.
Apparently the actual trailer was set to private. I'd assume most people will only find it reuploaded on other channels now. Imagine having to REMOVE your hype trailer, because it backfired so badly.

They even had apparently payed to get the video shown as an AD on youtube. Maybe their expectations to the final product were set higher. To be fair..if you only get to see the teaser for this, you'd think its gonna be an amazing trailer. And then, you see the rest.
