    I'm a photographer and love your channel, however, I have to pick a few holes in your theory here. Afghan Girl was published by National Geographic in June addition in 1985. I use both PhotoShop and LightRoom but neither was around in 1985. in fact, PhotoShop was not launched until Fed 1990, Steve McCurry used a Nikon FM2 35mm film camera to shoot Afgan Girl so any photo manipulation had to be done in the darkroom. And to my knowledge, the kind of manipulation you are talking about has only become available in recent years. So I can't speak for his later work but I certainly don't think Afgan Girl had any heavy manipulation. Steve McCurry did not start using digital cameras till 2005 prior to that he was shooting color slide film

    Glad to see you’re back man ! Quick question about the classes, I don’t know if they are available to purchase separately ? Also, another question about the Zip files for the different grids

      Thanks, I’m glad to be back! Yes the drawing video courses are available separately. I’ll include a link below. The zipped files for the grids are available too. Let me know any specific questions you have and I’ll be happy to help.

      @@IPOXstudios I have them ! I’m working on saving up for the mass course you have available. I’m currently in film school and have used your page to introduce new knowledge. My only concern is with the size of the cut outs. I thought I figured it out but I haven’t yet

    Very nice Tavis, thank you. You may have already done something similar but I’d be interested to see some analysis of 3:1 ratio work, such as that of Stuart Klipper.

      Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll add it to the list and take a look.

      @@IPOXstudios thanks. I’m inspired by your videos and trying to decide on which membership on your site. I’ve turned almost exclusively to the 6x17 format recently, hence my question.

      @@scottallen4131 thanks for the support! Cool, you could use the root 8 grid for that ratio. Which is an interesting rectangle because it's the same ratio as two root 2 rectangles side by side. I've analyzed Josef Koudelka and Jonas Bendiksen on the site for their panoramic photos. Take care!

    You mentioned the “crop to 1.5 grid”. What is that ? Can you explain ?

    • @IPOXstudios
      @IPOXstudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! Sure, the 1.5 is a ratio. It’s a rectangle that is a square and a half, and is the same size as most camera files and LCD. There’s also the 4/3 size which is typically seen on phones or micro 4/3 cameras. The dynamic symmetry grid can be many different sizes, but in the video it’s showing the 1.5 grid because it’s the size mostly used by photographers. Hope that helps!
