I wish life was still like this but instead humanity gave up freedom for security.

Hey, if ya gunna go down in history, this story is one way to do it.
The US has some great history, be it real or legend, and this blokes story is one of the greatest yarns of them all, be it true or not.

Imagine if youngsters now accepted the cumulative wisdom of us old salts like they did back then. They may not need it for survival.. but it'd sure help.

John Johnson sounds like, given his physical strength, toughness, and fighting skills, that he could potentially give a modern MMA fighter a run for his money. I'm not saying Johnson would necessarily win in such a scenario, but I'll bet he would be very hard to put down.

I think that you would have to be a psychopath to make it back then

Strangely enough, my great-grandfather was a Piegan Blackfoot who gave me, an Eastern Band Cherokee guy a Blackfoot name, Kiasax.
You might think my Cherokee grandfather would have chosen a Cherokee name for his only grandson, but no, his father-in-law, the Piegan Blackfoot man I mentioned before was his elder and had the right to name me. And that's why I'm named for an 18th century Blackfoot man who played the Native flute as I had begin playing one when I was about 10.
My Blackfoot great-grandfather was very kind to me though most other people thought him somewhat cold. He was never that to me and taught me Blackfoot words, many of them pretty naughty.
He had me swear that I would never use any of the naughty Blackfoot words until after he had crossed over. I kept my promise.
I will say that I've met plenty of folks from the Blackfeet Tribe and they've all been very kind and considerate people.
Johnson sounds like a real handful. I'm glad he's not someone we have to deal with these days. I'm afraid he'd be more than modern police could handle.
