I'm from Italy, I visited the beautiful Toledo in 2018. I knew nothing of that, I just went to the river for a walk. It was scary, the smell of sewage, thick floating blocks of dark matter. You can't see anything through water even at 12am full sunny close to the side. It is unacceptable, it implies corruption at any level (can't be possible in EU a situation this dramatic) and no one talks of this. Searching on the net I found very little but something, like the contrast with Portugal that point this issue to Spain. I won't immagine the water quality at Lisbon gulf. You need to find a voice on this issue, must be solved

Thank you very much. We are few, but more and more we are shouting to save the river. There are initiatives in the European congress and legal rulings that guarantee the closure of the transfer, if there is no water for an ecologically healthy Tagus. But any support is necessary. Thanks again.

Wow. This is really bad. Is this still the case in 2019?

Yes, It is. It's even worse. There is a recentky legal ruling that the gobernmet doesn't respect.
