Not sure that that is confirmed. But even so, a person can be assigned female at birth, as they have female parts, and grow up living as a girl but have male XY chromosomes. Usually it's during pubity that it becomes apparent that something is wrong, which is why the average age of diagnosis of the condition is like 17. Because the XY chromosomes ofcourse cause male hormones and development during puberty. Must be horrible for Khelif and anyone else unlucky enough to be born with it. Some women with XY chromosomes are actually able to get pregnant and give birth apparently, but usually the ovaries are too underdeveloped. But they'll have a vagina, and uterus. But as I say I dont know that this is the case, I've also heard she has a hormonal condition called DSD (which can be due to XY chromosomes, but not necessarily) and the gender test she failed was for testosterone levels, for which she has a higher level of testosterone than is allowed for a woman for the test. Hence was unable to compete in World Championships.

No they were born with no obvious male genitalia and raised as female because of this. This is something that sadly is chosen by doctors and parents when sex is not clear or babies are intersex right from birth. No woman has XY chromosomes, that's simple biology.
Not sure that that is confirmed. But even so, a person can be assigned female at birth, as they have female parts, and grow up living as a girl but have male XY chromosomes. Usually it's during pubity that it becomes apparent that something is wrong, which is why the average age of diagnosis of the condition is like 17. Because the XY chromosomes ofcourse cause male hormones and development during puberty. Must be horrible for Khelif and anyone else unlucky enough to be born with it. Some women with XY chromosomes are actually able to get pregnant and give birth apparently, but usually the ovaries are too underdeveloped. But they'll have a vagina, and uterus.
But as I say I dont know that this is the case, I've also heard she has a hormonal condition called DSD (which can be due to XY chromosomes, but not necessarily) and the gender test she failed was for testosterone levels, for which she has a higher level of testosterone than is allowed for a woman for the test. Hence was unable to compete in World Championships.

This is not a transwoman. This is (apparently, tho it is difficult to confirm thru all the misinformation) a person with XY chromosomes who has female organs (what used to generally be called “intersex”). She was born looking female, assigned female at birth (which is actually a meaningful distinction in this case), and likely spent a good chunk of her life thinking she was a typical female.
It is definitely worth discussing whether it is fair or safe for her to compete, given her XY chromosomes and elevated testosterone, but this is NOT just some mediocre male boxer who decided to beat on women. This is a legitimate fringe case and should not be lumped in with the trans nonsense.

She was raised female. A decision made by her parents at birth. An incorrect decision based on the chromosomal balance but she probably was never told. Not her fault. Of course after the tests from last year she'd know by now, but 'she' would still probably think of herself as a she. She hasn't known any difference
