Cool vid , for me it would be the Split Tank set up and I'd keep it swingarm . The blue tins do take you back to mid 70's in a blink ! Look forward to seeing this as a roaring rolling machine !
I like the shocks instead of hardtail cut the struts, shovel swing arms look awesome the frames more stretched out then a sportster giving it a great look, peanut tank good pick 🔥
Keep the blue tins and the swing arm, but cut the top of the frame just past the shockers, short rear fender and a cool sissy bar on it will be very different look
I would keep it stock ... you have a better handling machine and comfort in riding.. Stripping a bike of its originality makes it look goofy with small tank.
I'd retain the swingarm and rear shocks. No frame rake! I wouldn't go any longer on the forks, either. Maybe, you could install some fork gaitors -- original-style from K-models or early Sportsters. It's a good idea to run a front brake (even if it's only a drum brake). I'd go with original-style Hydra Glide handlebar risers. It's great to see a Hydra Glide top triple tree with 4-inch center-to-center riser bolt holes. The handlebars are just the right height and width. Those bars look like they're from K&N. The mockup sits just right. Hopefully, it will run great. Paint wise, I'd go with a candy tangerine/candy red mix. Some new chrome and some polished aluminum would make a big difference. Ride safe. -- W -- PS: Oh yeah, I'd go with the split tanks (for more range). Good luck, Joey! Hi'ya Yama and Blue!
Cool bike, I like the split ole school fat bob tanks the best and for long rides you just can't beat them. I put fat bobs on one of my old ironheads and love them. As a matter of fact I put 5 gal tanks on it and believe it or not I dropped them down and they look great on it. I would also save the frame and keep it swing armed. After a long, couple hundred mile day, you will agree with me. Later
@ 11:04 as you say Its the best look you are going for ,,to me It looks like a 2009 Honda Rebel,,imo The blue and purple rear fender looks better. I'm sure it will look great in the end
keep the fat bob tanks & add an FLH rear fender.......also a two into one exhaust w/muffler would be nice. Don't build this as a ragged out junker! Looking forward to an update, too
How are y'all finding all these bikes? Been looking for a hot minute for a shovel and i'm local to norcal. I just get dudes selling cones for 12k. I'd even be willing to trade an s14 for one lol
...hi; if I may I would go with a low stance; parallel to the floor; so reducing the length of the forks; stretching a bit the swing arm and a bare to the bones look (man; you guys do not have any with that look!) so enhancing the motor. A flat shorter handle bar; 21 inches front wheel; and squared tank (like a 70s British but modified) or an small rounded peanut tank. Frame painted black to shows the bare bones (so the eye would be on the motor) and a long etc Sorry I cannot help myself I am designer and ride old bikes...cheers

Love the survivor tins! I agree with leaving it swingarm
I absolutely agree that friend bonding is more important than filming. Bike is very cool. Thanks for the vids.

Righteous~~ I agree with your final choice!
My vote goes to the fatbob tanks, that set of springer forks hiding in the background! Plus a bates seat and p pad.
Perfect!!
I would go with the split-tank set of tins. But go with what turns your crank! 😎
Yeah man cool bikes!
Brasil 🇧🇷

My 2 cents, as bike sits I think the split tank looks great. But if you chop it (yes!!!) the wassel will look the best!!! Either way, super rad!! 🏍🤙🍻
Hardtail it & use the survivor tins!! It looked so good mocked up like that!
🤘

Split tank on the shovel hands down
My vote is the blue tins with hardtail.

What size are those bars?
Ditch that seat.
This is the bike that made it to Born Free ?
Survivor tins obviously how is it even a question ?!

I don't understand, you make great video but you don't have many followers🤔. Good luck! PS. hi from Russia.
BS that mustache aint real
If keeping swingarm, 100% split tanks. If you hardtail, sell me your covered shocks @jeffysue
Nice bike mate can’t wait for it to be finished and do some awesome road trips
