Hi nigel Absolutely great selection of films there mate THE beast in the cellar I love it I know its a bit of a slow burner but great atmosphere and acting Midnight run the chemistry between the two lead actors is brilliant. Frenzy is a hitchcock classic. Great video mate 👍👍👍
I watched the Island over a month ago because you recommended it Nige. A very enjoyable film. The artwork on, You Might Be the Killer, looks fantastic. The same with, Dead Time Stories. Midnight Run is another brilliant film. I recently watched The Hammer House of Horror series, that one takes me back especially the score at the beginning, my favorite is Children of the Full Moon. Some really great watches, Nige.
Thanks a million Gary mate, glad you enjoyed the video 🙂 The Island is such a great film and greatly overlooked. David Warner and Michael Caine??? It barely gets a mention. Watch Eyes Of A Stranger if you get chance mate.
Hi Nigel, The God of Rock 2024 ! So glad & super happy that the movies that i gave to you ("Blind Fury" "Midnight Run" & "52 pick up" that you enjoyed & worthy to the collection 👍👍👍. "The Island" a entertaining but bizarre movie that could fall into a few movie genres, "Deadtime Stories" a anthology movie that i"ve not heard of 🤔, i remember the movie "The Beast in the cellar" in the video store days but never got around to watching though, i"m revisiting the Hammer House of Horror tv series currently, the Charlie vodoo episode was my fav. One of my modern day horror movies "It" much more scarier than the mini series, plus i do need to watch the sequel, great movie watches my friend.
Thanks a million Carlos mate. Oh yeah when I rewatched Hammer House Of Horror, I did remember Charlie Boy, great episode that. I'm not sure what my absolute favourite is, there's a few spring to mind. Such a fantastic series. Absolutely enjoyed all 3 of those films i got off you, thank you so much buddy 🙂 I think Blind Fury might be my favourite, it's ridiculous how many films I've never seen before lol. I'd never heard of 52 Pick Up before or if I had itvwas year's ago and I didn't remember. That was a great film.
Blind Fury is ridiculous fun! One of my favourite films since I was 11. The scene with the hot sauce is hilarious. I think I may have seen The Island a good few years ago. May have to check it out. Scream and Scream Again is good fun. The theme tune always gets stuck in my head! 😆 I enjoyed Deadtime Stories. Watched it on good ol' TH-cam a while back. The twist in The Beast in the Cellar always amused me. Yeah..... I have a fear of heights. People don't understand phobias and when they try and "help" it's bloody annoying! Shock Waves is completely mental! Like you, I thought it was just OK. I love a glass of iced water. So refreshing. Jennifer Jason Leigh is absolutely amazing in The Hateful Eight and Single White Female. And Tom Savini is a genius, and one of my weird crushes. Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin are so awesome in Midnight Run. I saw Ghost Stories years ago. I don't remember a lot about it but it didn't sit well with me. Obviously sorry you didn't enjoy Blood Diner but I'm chuffed to fuck that Vestron got a holler. I only enjoyed the first episode of Hammer House of Horror. Children of the Full Moon and The House That Bled to Death were so scary! Frenzy is so well made. But that film, as well as Rope, are Alfred Hitchcock's scariest film for me. I love Psycho and I have done since I was 10 or 11. Ghostbusters was my comfort film for years. I used to watch it every afternoon after school for months. My favourite Rutger Hauer films are Blind Fury and Split Second. I saw It chapters 1 and 2 back to back in my local independent cinema. I had such a blast. I'd love to see your 4K. I love the old Warner logo too. I have a real nostalgia for old film and TV logos. Thank for yet another glorious video. You're consistently entertaining.
@LittleMissGrosser Wow! Well that's that all covered 😂 Thank you so much for your very kind words 🙂 You really need to see Eyes Of A Stranger! Oh ..... the ice water was lemonade with ice lol
@christopherwynne7665 Oh Wow you need to go region free. You're really missing out. Eyes Of A Stranger blew me away, ots not ultra violent or anything like that bit it's just a great tense horror/thriller.
@rockgod2004 I know mate. Been meaning to get a region player for ages now. I bought the Scream Factory Friday boxset when it was first released too. Of course still unwatched.
@christopherwynne7665 Oh mate you are missing out big time. Friday The 13th Part 2 is worth going region free for just for the new found deleted gore scenes.
@christopherwynne7665 There's scene's that were originally so much more gory than I even knew about. Alice's death scene was one if the biggest shocks I had no idea about. The couple in the bed was definitely the best one, they should use the footage and put them back in the films, even though it's just vhs quality
❤The Island Rock God. I think i saw a tv release with cuts made to the opening boat attack and when I saw thr uncut version Wow😮 Great piratexploitation film, if that's even a real word.
I absolutely love midnight run, don’t know if it’s coincidence but episode 2 of the creepshow series the one with Bob the detectives that come to the door are Moseley and Walsh which is yaphet kotto and Robert deniros names in the film, seems strange. Nice that America waited for Jennifer Jason Lee to come of age but here, hammer wasn’t bothered Natasha kinski was only 14 in to the devil a daughter
She was born in 61 and the film was shot in 75 and came out just after her 15th birthday. Hammer really are the filthy beasts. I bet her dad didn’t mind he probably enjoyed it.
Hello kidder. I know and understand phobias and appreciate how certain things terrify us but ive got none as i know of. Anyway you can have your test*cles surgically returned now you have got rid of that HUGE arachnid˚𓆩༺🕷༻𓆪˚😂🤣🤣😆❤ Thanks for the reviews anyway mate. I am currently disappointed with film Treasures for not getting out their "Dawn of the mummy" bluray yet but at least theres 2025 coming up Takecare
@Coastlinefx 😂😂😂 thank you for returning my nuts. They did put out some sort of a statement somewhere, there's been delays somewhere. I think originally it was supposed to be their first release of the year but it's ended up being their last unfortunately. I'm sure it's out December though, December definitely rings a bell.
@AlucardX666 God yrah i remember him in that from when I was a kid. He was also picked to be the original Inspector Abaline in the Michael Caine Jack The Ripper. There's actually scenes in the bonus features on the Blu Ray. He's terrible in it, I'm so glad Michael Caine got the job.
@rockgod2004 That Jack the Ripper is superb and to be honest I know it was a series they were pretty close to finding who the Ripper was compared with what Ripper historians believe, hope that makes sense.
My brother got biten by a lot of baby spiders in the garden it made him very ill for months all the skin came off his legs he was in hospital for week that was 7 years ago. He past on 3 years agon age 75
@kingdio Awww I'm terrified of them Bri. It's that bad, I'm STILL scared of them when they're dead. It's absolute terror honestly. Yrah it's a UK blu ray as well, I don't know where he got it from but what a cracking film.
Back in the day me and my brothers watched what our parents watched zero filters 70s 80s 90s learned so much not knowing it at the time
