I hope you understand what a gift your videos are to women and their supportive friends and family. Thank you so much. Not everyone understands people who choose to share personal experiences, but so many others definitely benefit. You're so generous and lovely, and I thank you!

Going for a double on Monday, I pray I find that calm you spoke of. My sadness can be overwhelming and reality of cancer hasn't really hit. It's like living a bad dream. You did help with your upbeat attitude and smiling through the tears.

Hi. I had my left breast removed two weeks ago. i'm feeling what your feeling mentally and physically. I know your fear. It's good to hear that the scaring will look better. I cried when i first saw my scar. We're going to be okay.

Debbie Kotch you’re going to be ok! I had both breasts removed in October and it was the toughest experience my life. I’m having my implant surgery in a month and hopefully I’ll be done. You will be fine and you will change for the better. The silver linings are the best part of a cancer diagnosis. Blessings and peace to you!

Diana Clemens Hi Diana, I had my left breast removed October 2019 the cancer was in my milk ducts , calcification spots all over my breast. My options were to have a lumpectomy with radiation for six weeks and hormone therapy for 5 years. Or mastectomy I chose a mastectomy of the breast which would leave me cancer free with no other treatment. I chose not to have reconstructive surgery because I didn’t want anymore surgeries. Reconstruction requires more surgery. I was fitted with a prosthetic breast. It has been a year. I m healed. I m happy with my decision. A lot is thrown at you all at once. And I was really scared your life is changed in an instant. But I made it through and you will too. What ever you decide will be a good choice for you. You are not alone. I will keep you in my prayers. If you do choose. No reconstruction Nordstrom has a program for prosthetics after you have healed.

I just want to let you know, I had this done 5 years ago and I don't recommend textured silicone implants or any for that matter....The "gummy bears" could possibly cause ALCL cancer (I have gotten the recall warning letter last July). I had them removed last March and had a few more surgeries after that because they used my own tissue, 4 flaps (2 from my ab and 2 from inner thighs, they needed 4 because I'm thin and athletic body type). I am just recovering from the last surgery (scar revision) and I love the outcome. They feel and look real and I can feel them again, furthermore, don't have to go through future surgeries to exchange them from problems implants can cause like capsular contracture and I don't have to worry about ALCL cancer.
There are also other symptoms these breast implants can cause.i beg you to please do some more research and look into breast implant illnessI wish you the best and be blessed!

UNDER GRACE thank you for sharing. I never had the textured implants. As far as I know Sloan isn’t using them anymore. Glad you had a good experience with the flap surgery

I just had a double mastectomy last week and tissue expanders put in a week ago. They had to take all my tissue. Then still found more cancer with a bunch more things going.
