I thought adding scenery pieces to rides was already a game changer, but by giving us these four simple moving pieces, Frontier has expanded the possibilities so much further. This is going to be wild.
Its mind blowing what we’re going to be able to do with these. Thank you so much for sharing and look forward to finally be able to walk around your builds 😁
I was already excited for the game, but I didn't knew these kind of features were in the game. Thank you for sharing, this is HUGE, not just for darkrides, but also for animated parts on top of main street. Pirates fighting, cannons shooting. A whole Pirates of the Carabean kind of attraction.
No joke, moving pieces like these were one of my biggest pipe dreams for Planco 2. I'm absolutely hyped af!! (So bizzare they didn’t advertize it at all, but I'm happy for the surprise)
The sequencer is nice but it's strangely done. You have one line for each event, it would be so much better to have one line per object, like the firework sequencer on rct3. If you want to manage 10 object for a whole flatride ride is a nightmare, because if you trigger each object 20 times, you already have 200 hundred line
Great video 😊 really looking forward to seeing what people make with these. Just so you know you don't have to attach it to the arm directly. Once the pieces are part of the platform they can be moved away from it and you can then hide the animatronic plate in the ground or something
That is correct! I do mentioned it one time that it is possible to attach pieces further away, but I do not show it. But yes, which is a game changer in any case! We’re in for a treat!
Some people build ghost trains with this ride on planet coaster 1 it had ghost busters dlc which had gone from store on console, hope they add clowns in planet coaster 2 you should try doing ghost train haunted one
Can you attach an animatronic element to another one? e.g. could you have an "up and down" thing also move side to side by attaching the up and down gizmo to the horizontal sliding gizmo? Hope that makes sense!
You can make some absolutely massive animatronics by attaching these together. Like I'm thinking the old King Kong ride size animatronic. Hopefully they add a bit more variety to them, because the potential is insane
Is there any way for a moving object to stay triggered longer? I dont get why you cant drag the bar long just to make it stay out longer. I want an explosive super fast pop out with a slow return, why does that seem not possible? Is it possible?
It is not possible, maybe with some tweaks you can get it get slower with some trial and error, we can only hope we get more options later in the game.
I already have a couple ideas for darkrides. Some of them are attractions within parks. But I have a concept that would probably be one big ride, so I’ll not use that map for anything else, probably. I’ve not built that much in the first game, so it will be a test for me to realise my visions. But these darkride elements are super versatile. I think I would like more in-game animatronics, but custom ones would probably would really well once you get the hang of making them.
Do you need the trigger sequencer to trigger things to happen on the ride or do you just add the trigger (numbers you mentioned) to get things to trigger
Oh god!!! I wanted something like this for Planco 1!! Damn my only issue is that if we don’t get the toolmakers kit then custom models won’t be a thing and that’s what I would of love to include with this!! 😢
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! It is indeed an amazing feature in the game. I have a question though: I made a horizontal sliding door for a coaster. The coaster is going from the final breaks to the station and is moving slowly on the track. The door is opening when the coaster leaves the breakrun, the trigger works. I Used the slow pause option. The thing is, it is not pausing long enough so the whole coaster train can move through. Is there a way to get a door in an open pause state longer? Someone knows a workaround? Thanks in advance.
Some pieces you can put duration on in the timeline. Though, we unfortunately only have the features we have. We can only hope they will add more advanced trigger features in future updates. Sorry I can’t be to more help!
@@WikzGaming after some trial and error, I did it! Here is how: - Put one horizontal moving platform on slow pause and trigger only - Put another horizontal moving platform on top of that and also on trigger only and slow pause - put scenery on the second moving platform (in my case a rock) - at the coaster: edit trigger sequence, add both, and delay one of the moving platforms with 5 seconds - the rock (door) stays in place!
place a trigger down and set everything to activate on trigger and nothing is happing.... having a face of medusa push slowly forward and speaker with her laughing but nothing is happening. can someone help? im looking for anwsers but can't find it :/
nvm got it working :/ whas trying to get it working on an elevater of a log ride .. i guess it didn't detect it for some reason. i put it back and now with delays so it plays at the right time.. and it works.. :/
@ I figured it out. U gotta group both the tool and the scenery, then duplicate the scenery while clicking the tool to complete the attachments. Finally delete the original scenery. I don’t understand why frontier makes it so complicated.
I still have trouble keeping a door open for a certain amount of time to let a coaster through and I can not change the open time section. How should that be done? anybody Ideas?
@@WikzGaming Hi! Yes, it is connected to an event sequencer and a trigger in the station. I can only select slow up to down, but it goes down before the train leaves the station. It's just one speed.

shouldn't the rotating animatronic be able to do swing open if you use it as the hinge.

You can always try terrain down a bit, so you go under the ground inside the building. That always helps.
