2024 Elections | ANC expected to haul Jacob Zuma before a DC on 7 May: Sandile Swana

- SABC News has reliably learnt that the ANC is expected to haul is former president and now MK Party leader - Jacob Zuma - before a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, 7 May 2024.
This has been revealed in a notice set down by the ANC's National Disciplinary Committee.
In the notice dated 24 April 2024, Zuma is informed that he is facing two counts.
The first one is that he contravened the ANC Constitution when on the 16th of December 2023 he publicly endorsed the newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe Party.
Secondly, he contravened the ANC Constitution when he appeared on the candidate list of the MK party.
Zuma may be represented by any member of the ANC in good standing at the hearing.

Swana is economical with the truth when he says that this generation has divided the ANC. Zuma has devided the ANC. The ANC constitution dictates that the hearings must take place within 6 months from the day on which the relevant organ of the ANC became aware of the alleged misconduct.
Is this even an issue for the ANC to waist time on? After the election it will hasten its annihilation as soon as it goes into coalition with the DA or the EFF. We are living in the last days of the ANC. Thabo Mbeki doesn't take nonsense: He may have a hand that led for Jacob Zuma to face an ANC DC where he will officially be expelled. Zuma won't even bother to go Disciplinary Committee and he will subsequently be expelled in absentia. The difference between Mbeki and Ramaphosa: Mbeki is decisive, and he doesn't take prisoner.

Whether Zuma does attend disciplinary hearing or not, is not important. What is important is tha the ANC has an advanced Constitution and it adheres to it. No political party has a well developed constitution like the ANC in this country of ours. Thanks to the strategy and tactics of the ANC, the cheap popularity that Zuma wanted to expand on the pretext that he does not respect the"ANC of Ramaphosa" has been dealt a resounding blow.
